Since then, it&#8217;s been discovered the French developer and publisher Dotemu will be helping out with this version \u2013 with the company revealing it was both &#8220;proud and honored&#8221; to team up with Square Enix.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Twenty years after Final Fantasy VIII original release, we&#8217;re proud and honored to team up with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SquareEnix?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SquareEnix<\/a> for its Remastered Version that will hit PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ba2YBN5mrH\">pic.twitter.com\/Ba2YBN5mrH<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Dotemu (@Dotemu) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dotemu\/status\/1138449556717297669?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 11, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>If the name sounds familiar, that&#8217;s because this is the same team associated with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/wonder_boy_the_dragons_trap\">Wonderboy: The Dragon&#8217;s Trap<\/a><\/strong> and the upcoming releases <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/windjammers_2\">Windjammers 2<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>Streets of Rage 4<\/strong>. You can also view more of the company&#8217;s work on its <a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dotemu.com\/games\/\">official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the above announcement, the Dotemu social media account also replied to a few fan questions. When asked about a possible physical release it said &#8220;Maybe SE will drop more intel about it later on&#8221; and went onto explain how it had &#8220;a lot of things to reveal&#8221; but was saving &#8220;some things&#8221; for later on.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, was a response to a question about the Final Fantasy VIII Remastered soundtrack. According to Dotemu, fans can expect to hear the &#8220;original PSX music&#8221; in this remastered version of the game.
