{"id":95060,"date":"2019-06-13T19:16:30","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T19:16:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gamefromscratch.com\/post.aspx?id=c881882a-bb7f-4d06-bd33-6c838f56f621"},"modified":"2019-06-13T19:16:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T19:16:30","slug":"apponboard-acquire-buildbox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2019\/06\/13\/apponboard-acquire-buildbox\/","title":{"rendered":"AppOnboard Acquire Buildbox"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apponboard.com\/\">AppOnboard<\/a>, perhaps most famous for the technology powering the Google App Store \u201cTry Now\u201d functionality have just acquired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildbox.com\/\">BuildBox<\/a>.&nbsp; BuildBox is a nocode or codeless game engine that just released version 3.0 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamefromscratch.com\/post\/2019\/05\/22\/BuildBox-Pricing-Changes.aspx\">announced a pricing change<\/a>.&nbsp; The acquisition will not change the management or structure of the BuildBox team.<\/p>\n<p>Details from the BuildBox <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildbox.com\/apponboard-acquires-buildbox\/\">blog announcement<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I\u2019m extremely excited to announce the next chapter for Buildbox, and explain how we\u2019re going to vastly expand our product, ability, and community going forward, but before I do that I believe it\u2019s most important to discuss what is not changing.<\/p>\n<p>With this acquisition, every single employee is staying with Buildbox, including myself and Nik.&nbsp; Buildbox will run independently \u2014 as it always has \u2014 while being able to grow much more quickly, and tap into the great resources that AppOnboard provides.&nbsp; Nik and I will still be focused 100% on vision and additions to complete line of our products. We will not be making any changes in product, besides improvements and additions we already have planned.<\/p>\n<p>What we will have access too, that we did not before, is resources to help us hire more developers, content creators and more for Buildbox.&nbsp; You\u2019ll see our development times vastly improve, and content creation for Buildbox speed up drastically.<\/p>\n<p>AppOnboard is amazingly dedicated to not changing our vision, but helping us see it through to its largest potential.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>AppOnboard have also released a statement <a href=\"https:\/\/apponboard.com\/blog\/apponboard-and-buildbox\/\">available here<\/a>.&nbsp; BuildBox also released an email to all developers with the following details (thanks J.P for the heads-up!):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A lot of changes are underfoot and all of them positive! Every employee from Buildbox that you know and love are all still here and will definitely be here for a long time.
