{"id":94942,"date":"2019-06-11T23:13:00","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T23:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/344619"},"modified":"2019-06-11T23:13:00","modified_gmt":"2019-06-11T23:13:00","slug":"get-a-job-new-world-interactive-is-hiring-a-head-of-production","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2019\/06\/11\/get-a-job-new-world-interactive-is-hiring-a-head-of-production\/","title":{"rendered":"Get a job: New World Interactive is hiring a Head of Production"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Gamasutra Job Board is the most diverse, active and established board of its kind for the video game industry!<\/p>\n<p>Here is just one of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/jobs\/\">many, many positions<\/a>&nbsp;being advertised right now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate a best-in-class game development environment, inclusive of building a culture of success, creativity, low-drama and balanced lifestyle.<\/li>\n<li>Scope, plan, schedule, task, and execute high-quality game products and help build out full production teams.<\/li>\n<li>Manage multiple projects and teams from pre-production to production and launch, directing game production and coordinating activities from assistant producers to programming, level design, art, audio and all related functional areas.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate communications internally between all departments as well as externally with third and first party partners on matters related to production.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain pipelines and procedures for game production and insure that projects are delivered on-time and within budget.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of project documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with prospective employee evaluations, interviewing, identification and selection.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in assessing and overseeing outsourcing partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>Partner effectively with company leadership in forecasting, budgeting, and business model design.<\/li>\n<li>Rapidly identify production issues and conflicts between schedule, cost, and project scope.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree and 5+ years of video game industry experience.<\/li>\n<li>Exhaustive understanding of all aspects of game production including planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, technology, design, art, audio, localization, QA, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership, project management, oral and written communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Solid organizational skills and highly efficient time management.
