{"id":94897,"date":"2019-06-10T21:16:00","date_gmt":"2019-06-10T21:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/344486"},"modified":"2019-06-10T21:16:00","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T21:16:00","slug":"new-ubisoft-tool-lets-assassins-creed-odyssey-players-create-custom-quests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2019\/06\/10\/new-ubisoft-tool-lets-assassins-creed-odyssey-players-create-custom-quests\/","title":{"rendered":"New Ubisoft tool lets Assassin&#8217;s Creed Odyssey players create custom quests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ubisoft\u2019s freshly announced Story Creator Mode has launched into an open beta and&nbsp;lets <em>Assassin\u2019s Creed Odyssey<\/em> players create and share their own quests for the game, complete with their own custom stories and written dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>Revealed during the pre-show for Ubisoft\u2019s E3 press conference, the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ubisoft.com\/en-us\/article\/351230\/assassins-creed-odyssey-story-creator-mode-lets-players-design-new-adventures-discovery-tour-coming-this-fall-e3-2019\">Story Creator Mode<\/a> allows players to create in-game quests with a variety of objectives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know our community is quite creative and I think whether you\u2019re into art or writing or just very curious about how games work, Story Creator Mode can appeal to you,\u201d explains associate producer Anthony Straub in the mode\u2019s launch trailer<\/p>\n<p>The web-based tool lets players use character models from the main game and assign them new roles and dialogue by using tools based on the ones Ubisoft itself used in the development of <em>Assassin\u2019s Creed Odyssey.<\/em> Different individual quests can be linked together as one larger story, and those are then sharable online and playable on any version of <em>Odyssey<\/em>, no matter the platform used by its creator or player.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the announcement of the Story Creator Mode, Ubisoft revealed that the educational Discovery Mode from <em>Assassin\u2019s Creed Origins<\/em> will be launching for<em> Assassin\u2019s Creed Odyssey <\/em>as well.
