To download the beta people must go through <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/testflight\/id899247664?mt=8\">the TestFlight app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some known bugs include playgrounds getting stuck when live issues are present or after recording movies. Workarounds are available. Notes also mention that the app makes use of <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/19\/02\/26\/apple-project-lead-ted-kremenek-discusses-swift-5-how-it-is-used-internally\">Swift 5<\/a>, itself still in beta. <\/p>\n<p>Apple&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/18\/11\/12\/apples-swift-playgrounds-22-improves-discovery-of-third-party-content-new-playgrounds\">last major update<\/a> of Swift Playgrounds was 2.2 in November, which brought changes like new playgrounds and better discovery of third-party content. <\/p>\n<p>Swift Playgrounds <a href=\"http:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/16\/06\/22\/apples-new-swift-playgrounds-for-ipad-is-a-killer-app-for-teaching-code\">debuted in 2016<\/a> as an in-house effort to teach children and adults how to code using the company&#8217;s Swift programming language.
