Joxer could feel the ship\u2019s engines humming under his boots, reverberating throughout the chamber.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThink of this as a job interview,\u201d Drifter replied. \u201cI got a whole new operation about to come online, and Gambit was training for it. You\u2019re one of the best candidates I got.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beneath his helmet, Joxer raised an eyebrow. \u201cYou sure about that? Whole buncha folks running around with Malfeasance hand cannons these days. My grandma, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat Primeval really knows how to run,\u201d Joxer snarled at the deck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cListen, big guy.\u201d Drifter leaned back. \u201cNot my fault you keep missing the shot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joxer stood up out of his seat and towered over the other man.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey! My bad, brother!\u201d Drifter held up a hand. \u201cYour Motes are always good here, whether you\u2019re packing Malfeasance or not. What I need done, only a specialist\u2014like you\u2014can do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joxer stared down at him. \u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI seen you out there. You get how the Taken feel. How the Darkness\u2026 flows. You revel in it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joxer sat back down, slowly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re a born invader, my friend.
