First, Mette will cover framing and the analysis that sparked a change in the way the <em>Hitman\u00a02\u00a0<\/em>team approached level design.<\/p>\n<p>Next, he will present an analysis of what happens when you look at game spaces as social spaces, and how that played out in the pre-production design of the levels in <em>Hitman\u00a02<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Mette will discuss how the results of this exercise resulted in coining some new phrases and concepts that affected <em>Hitman\u00a02<\/em>\u00a0from pre-production onward!<\/p>\n<p>The Level Design Workshop will also play host to fantastic talks like &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.gdconf.com\/session\/level-design-workshop-building-new-york-in-marvels-spider-man-its-still-just-level-design\/865584\">Building New York in &#8216;Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man&#8217;: It&#8217;s Still Just Level Design<\/a>&#8220;, in which Insomniac&#8217;s Josue Benavidez\u00a0will share the fundamental level design principles that shaped\u00a0<em>Marvel&#8217;s Spider-Man<\/em>, and &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/schedule.gdconf.com\/session\/level-design-workshop-rewarding-exploration-with-collectibles-and-gatherables\/865182\">Rewarding Exploration with Collectibles and Gatherables<\/a>&#8220;, a talk from writer and designer Leah Miller that&#8217;s all about the best ways to place collectible items and other gatherables in your levels.
