From launching fun\u00a0Stickers and\u00a0Effects to\u00a0communities\u00a0rallying around\u00a0their favorite\u00a0streamers\u2019\u00a0Sparks\u00a0milestones, we\u2019ve had a\u00a0blast\u00a0seeing\u00a0the community\u00a0interact in new ways,\u00a0and\u00a0we\u00a0appreciate\u00a0all\u00a0the\u00a0valuable\u00a0feedback\u00a0you\u2019ve given us\u00a0so far.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today,\u00a0we\u2019re excited to kick off 2019\u00a0and the\u00a0next phase of Season 2\u00a0with\u00a0the launch of\u00a0Mixer<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>Embers<\/b>.\u00a0Early access to\u00a0Mixer Embers will\u00a0start today for users of the\u00a0Mixer mobile app\u00a0on Android and\u00a0iOS platforms.\u00a0\u00a0Then, Mixer Embers will roll out to\u00a0viewers on all platforms\u00a0next\u00a0week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So,\u00a0what\u00a0are Embers\u00a0and how do you get them?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Embers are a\u00a0virtual currency on Mixer that\u00a0you can\u00a0purchase\u00a0and\u00a0then spend\u00a0on premium Skills,\u00a0including\u00a0animated\u00a0Stickers\u00a0and\u00a0full-screen\u00a0Effects.\u00a0With\u00a0these\u00a0premium\u00a0Skills,\u00a0you\u00a0can also add a custom message\u00a0that will be\u00a0prominently\u00a0highlighted\u00a0in chat, helping\u00a0your message\u00a0stand out\u00a0within the Mixer community. For Mixer Partners, Embers provide\u00a0new monetization opportunities\u00a0by enabling\u00a0a more direct form of patronage\u00a0with\u00a0bigger\u00a0cash\u00a0rewards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sparks are a virtual currency that\u00a0viewers\u00a0earn\u00a0for free, just by\u00a0watching streams on Mixer;\u00a0Embers are a\u00a0paid\u00a0virtual\u00a0currency that\u00a0viewers can\u00a0purchase directly on Mixer.\u00a0Although there are specific\u00a0Skills\u00a0for each currency,\u00a0both\u00a0Sparks and Embers\u00a0will result in patronage for\u00a0a partnered streamer.\u00a0Embers\u00a0provide\u00a0a\u00a0more direct\u00a0form of patronage\u00a0as\u00a0Mixer\u00a0Partners receive a fixed dollar amount per Ember spent on their channel.\u00a0In contrast,\u00a0Sparks\u00a0spent on Mixer\u00a0Partner\u2019s\u00a0channel go\u00a0towards\u00a0achieving Spark\u00a0milestones for\u00a0cash\u00a0bonuses.\u00a0Embers\u00a0do not have weekly milestones, and\u00a0do not impact Spark\u00a0milestones.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
