Despite only being on the market for three weeks, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/strong><\/a> has now sold more copies than Splatoon 2<\/strong><\/a> in the UK.<\/p>\n

The game has seen a 24% drop in physical sales this week, slipping down to fifth place in the UK charts, but its tremendous overall start means that it is already the fifth best-selling Switch game in the region. Other games in that Switch-specific top-five list are Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/strong><\/a> (which is the best-selling Switch game in the UK by a large margin), Super Mario Odyssey<\/a><\/strong>, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/strong><\/a>, and Pok\u00e9mon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Christmas number one, however, goes to Red Dead Redemption 2<\/strong>. The game managed to secure top spot for the second consecutive week, with sales rising by 26% to fight off the nearest competition.<\/p>\n
