Which is probably intentional from a spooky perspective?]&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gaming\/2018\/12\/keyforge-the-red-hot-card-game-where-every-deck-is-unique-and-unchangeable\/\">KeyForge: The red-hot card game where every deck is unique\u2014and unchangeable<\/a>\u00a0<em>(Charlie Theel \/ Ars Technica &#8211; ARTICLE)<\/em><br \/>&#013; &#8220;As a concept,\u00a0KeyForge\u00a0is enthralling. The game is the latest effort from legendary\u00a0Magic: The Gathering\u00a0designer Richard Garfield\u2014and the big idea here is that every sealed deck is unique. Decks are pre-constructed and can\u2019t be altered; there\u2019s no card chasing, and there\u2019s certainly no over-arching \u201cmeta\u201d game that must be respected. This is a head-to-head two-player battler like no other.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/game-reviews\/2018\/12\/15\/ashen-review\/\">Ashen\u00a0is a beacon of light against the dark night<\/a>\u00a0<em>(Nick Romano \/ Entertainment Weekly &#8211; ARTICLE)<\/em><br \/>&#013; &#8220;When battling darkness, either internal or corporeal, you\u2019re not alone. In the world of\u00a0Ashen, a RPG game that justifiably earned comparisons to\u00a0Dark Souls\u00a0after its surprise debut during this year\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/gaming\/2018\/12\/07\/game-awards-2018-god-of-war-game-year\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Game Awards<\/a>, it\u2019s actually dangerous to go it alone. [SIMON&#8217;S NOTE: early Metacritic\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.metacritic.com\/game\/pc\/ashen\">looking positive enough<\/a>.]&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/emshort.blog\/2018\/12\/09\/ddd\/\">IF Comp Post-Mortems<\/a>\u00a0<em>(Emily Short \/ Emily Short&#8217;s Interactive Storytelling &#8211; ARTICLE)<\/em><br \/>&#013; &#8220;Now that some time has elapsed since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ifcomp.org\/comp\/2018\">2018 IF Comp has closed<\/a>, a number of authors have followed up with post-mortems (and in some cases, there have also been a few game updates based on player feedback).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockpapershotgun.com\/2018\/12\/07\/battlefield-v-is-the-best-battlefield-campaign-in-years-and-tirailleur-proves-it\/\">Battlefield V is the best Battlefield campaign in years, and Tirailleur proves\u00a0it<\/a>\u00a0<em>(Xalavier Nelson Jr. \/ RockPaperShotgun &#8211; ARTICLE)<\/em><br \/>&#013; &#8220;It\u2019s a shame that the opening of\u00a0Battlefield V\u00a0is a bit of a po-faced mess, because it provides a wildly inaccurate idea of what you can expect from its singleplayer portion. The Battlefield V vignette campaigns are, together, one of the best FPS campaigns in years.
