When it came to skin tone, the studio notes that the first step was gathering as much information as they could, citing\u00a0artist\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.angelicadass.com\/humanae-project\/\">Ang\u00e9lica Dass\u2019 Humanae Project<\/a>\u00a0and the beauty company\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fentybeauty.com\/shade-finder.html\">Fenty\u2019s foundation line<\/a>\u00a0to start.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just this research gave us plenty to start working on, but we knew that we needed additional expertise to provide context to our existing knowledge and fill in the inevitable gaps,&#8221; the post reads.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We reached out to fantastic groups like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/diversity.google\/\">Google\u2019s Product Inclusion team<\/a>, our local experts from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prettybrownandnerdy.com\/\">Pretty Brown &amp; Nerdy<\/a>, and even a few of our industry friends, all of whom helped us immensely to spot major gaps in our representation and understanding.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Representation is important, and its nice to see all of the different ways players will be able to tailor their characters in VR.
