As you can immediately tell, the design sacrifices the famous trident shape of the official N64 controller, instead replacing it with a &#8220;more traditional&#8221; design which features a setup much more in line with modern pads.<\/p>\n<p>Hyperkin tells us that the controller&#8217;s design is the preferred choice for high-performance competition, with fan-favourite games like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/n64\/super_smash_bros\"><strong>Super Smash Bros.<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/n64\/goldeneye_007\"><strong>GoldenEye 007<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/n64\/mario_kart_64\"><strong>Mario Kart 64<\/strong><\/a> being referenced as potential titles which could benefit from its layout.
