Back then, <strong><a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/n64\/super_mario_64\">Super Mario 64<\/a><\/strong> and <a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/gbc\/pokemon_gold_and_silver\"><strong>Pok\u00e9mon Gold and Silver<\/strong><\/a> reigned supreme.
