According to an estimate by Apptopia, GO players have now spent a whopping $2 billion dollars on the game (via in-app purchases) since it was launched in July 2016. In terms of in-app purchases, Japanese players spent the most on Pok\u00e9mon GO &#8211; providing 33.5 percent of revenue for the game.
