This seems to be Improbable&#8217;s first Canadian studio, and local game devs should know\u00a0they appear to be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/improbable.io\/careers\/locations\/edmonton\">hiring<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Improbable, the Edmonton team&#8217;s remit includes developing\u00a0&#8220;tools, technology and demos and representative game content designed to highlight the unique power of Improbable\u2019s SpatialOS platform for game development.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>(For more insight into how devs\u00a0actually make use of the SpatialOS tech, which is designed to seamlessly stitch together servers and game engines to support\u00a0large,\u00a0persistent virtual worlds, check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/256015\/Improbable_How_a_team_of_15_builds_a_physicsbased_MMO.php\">2015 chat with the folks at Bossa Studios<\/a> about how they used it to build the massively multiplayer sky pirate game\u00a0<\/em>Worlds Adrift<em>.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8221;\u00a0I believe that SpatialOS is going to transform how people make and play games, and with this new office we want to help that to happen,&#8221; reads a quote from Flynn in the press release announcing his new gig. &#8220;We\u2019ve chosen Edmonton because of Alberta\u2019s experienced development talent, and the new developers produced by several excellent schools in the province.
