Hori even reached out to us at the time with a <a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2018\/07\/horis_working_on_a_fix_for_its_d-pad_joy-con_controller_that_gobbles_battery_life\">statement<\/a> about the problem:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We are working to have this issue resolved by the time this product is released in the US. We don&#8217;t have further details at this time, but we wanted to personally reach out to let you know that we are working on this and this will be resolved.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Following the yesterday&#8217;s Nintendo Switch system update, Hori has now confirmed the issue has been resolved. The fix contained within the latest update applies to all regions:<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The battery-use issue has been resolved with the latest Nintendo firmware update. (Version: 6.0.0) Please make sure to update your Nintendo Switch console&#8217;s firmware to the latest version before using this product.
