From August 23\u201327, we\u2019re calling on all prospective soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities: assemble your teams and dive in during the <em>Overwatch<\/em> free weekend event!<\/p>\n<p>If you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, you\u2019ll be able to play with the full <em>Overwatch<\/em> roster of 28 heroes\u2013\u2013including the newly released Wrecking Ball\u2013\u2013across 18 maps set around the globe. You\u2019ll have full access to Quick Play, Custom Games, and a variety of unique play options in the Arcade.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload alignnone size-full wp-image-100149\" src=\"https:\/\/news.xbox.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/OVR_OWLegendaryBox_Sombra1P_XA.jpg\" alt=\"Overwatch Screenshot\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/><\/p>\n<p><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-100149\" src=\"https:\/\/news.xbox.com\/en-us\/wp-content\/uploads\/OVR_OWLegendaryBox_Sombra1P_XA.jpg\" alt=\"Overwatch Screenshot\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>Player progression is unlocked as well, so you\u2019ll be able to level up and earn limited-time Summer Games Loot Boxes. Plus, if you decide to purchase <em>Overwatch<\/em>, either this weekend or at a later date, you\u2019ll keep any progress you made and achievements earned during the free weekend event\u2013\u2013just be sure to use the same Xbox Live account that you played on.<\/p>\n<p>The free period will begin at 11:00 a.m. PDT on Thursday, August 23 and will end at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Monday, August 27 in all supported regions.
