The latest update on the original matter comes\u00a0in the form of a new court filing earlier this week &#8211; revealing both parties are hoping to agree to a settlement as soon as possible, rather than lengthen court proceedings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/torrentfreak.com\/loveroms-owner-hopes-to-settle-nintendos-copyright-lawsuit-180824\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Torrentfreak+%28Torrentfreak%29\">Torrent Freak<\/a>, the attorney representing the owner of the now-defunct ROM and emulator websites has requested to extend the standard response period to the initial complaint by an extra three weeks.
