The game will be handled by port specialist Panic Button and will include a new &#8220;Invasion Mode&#8221; where players can enter other player\u2019s campaign runs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s no surprise the game will also include other forms of multiplayer to make the game even more social. During an interview with <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.polygon.com\/2018\/8\/10\/17675824\/doom-eternal-competitive-multiplayer-details-pvp-quakecon-2018\">Polygon<\/a>, DOOM Eternal game director Marty Stratton revealed a player versus player component was currently in the works and it wouldn\u2019t be a rehash of the last outing:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Invasion stuff is just kind of one of the ways that we\u2019re going to make the Doom experience social\u2026 But we\u2019re not really going deep into that. We are working on a PvP component. It is new. It\u2019s not an extension of what we did last time. So it\u2019s new. It is something we\u2019re developing internally, which we didn\u2019t do last time. I think players are gonna really enjoy it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Creative director Hugo Martin reinforced this statement by saying the new multiplayer is very good.
