{"id":30276,"date":"2018-07-04T13:48:00","date_gmt":"2018-07-04T13:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/321331"},"modified":"2018-07-04T13:48:00","modified_gmt":"2018-07-04T13:48:00","slug":"pokemon-quest-nets-3m-in-revenue-during-first-week-on-mobile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2018\/07\/04\/pokemon-quest-nets-3m-in-revenue-during-first-week-on-mobile\/","title":{"rendered":"Pokemon Quest nets $3M in revenue during first week on mobile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Pokemon Quest<\/em> has amassed $3 million in revenue during its first week on mobile, <a href=\"https:\/\/sensortower.com\/blog\/pokemon-quest-revenue-week-one\">according to analytics outfit Sensor Tower<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An estimated 56 percent of that revenue was pulled in through the iOS App Store, with the remaining 44 percent being attributed to the Google Play marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>The blocky free-to-play\u00a0title made its way to smartphones on June 27 &#8212; having launched on the Switch back in May &#8212; and has since been installed around 3.5 million times on mobile.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As you might\u00a0expect, the largest chunk of <em>Pokemon Quest&#8217;s<\/em>\u00a0first week revenue came from players in Japan, with the region&#8217;s Pokefans\u00a0accounting\u00a0for 31 percent of all spending\u00a0&#8212; compared to 25 percent in the States, and 12 percent in South Korea.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Although we don&#8217;t know how much revenue the title has brought in on\u00a0the Switch, it had\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/320490\/Pokemon_Quest_hits_25M_Switch_downloads_ahead_of_mobile_launch.php\">surpassed 2.5 million downloads<\/a> on the console as of June 21.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pokemon Quest has amassed $3 million in revenue during its first week on mobile, according to analytics outfit Sensor Tower.
