In this quick tip, learn how to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacityteam.org\/\">Audacity<\/a> in Fedora to quickly remove the background noise from audio files.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-20599\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Installing Audacity<\/h3>\n<p>Audacity is an application in Fedora for mixing, cutting, and editing audio files. It supports a wide range of formats out of the box on Fedora &#8212; including MP3 and OGG. Install Audacity from the Software application.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21394\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/audacity-quick-tip-quickly-remove-background-noise.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1821\" height=\"973\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If the terminal is more your speed, use the command:<\/p>\n<pre>sudo dnf install audacity<\/pre>\n<h3>Import your Audio, sample background noise<\/h3>\n<p>After installing Audacity, open the application, and import your sound using the <strong>File &gt; Import<\/strong> menu item. With the tracks imported, select an area of the track that contains only the background noise. Do this either by selecting with the mouse, or <strong>Ctrl + a<\/strong> to select the entire track.
