The page has no mention of the title coming to west, nor any suggestion that we could also see the remake appearing on Switch.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"picture strip\">\n<div class=\"img\"><a href=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/news\/2018\/05\/the_original_professor_layton_game_is_getting_a_mobile_hd_remake_in_japan\/attachment\/1\/original.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/news\/2018\/05\/the_original_professor_layton_game_is_getting_a_mobile_hd_remake_in_japan\/attachment\/1\/900x.jpg\" alt=\"layton.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>We&#8217;ve already heard that Level-5 has been <a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2017\/06\/the_hybrid_nature_of_switch_is_causing_level-5_headaches_with_its_next_layton_adventure\">thinking of ways to use the Switch<\/a> for upcoming games in the series, with the docked mode of the console bringing up particular concerns thanks to the touchscreen-based nature of the games, but a remake of the original game could be a nice test for the studio. We&#8217;ve seen other titles launch on Switch as handheld-only games (such as <strong><a class=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/voez\">VOEZ<\/a><\/strong>), so it hopefully wouldn&#8217;t be too much of a stretch for Layton to follow suit.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, we&#8217;re definitely hoping to see some more of good ol&#8217; Hershel and his sidekick Luke in the west in the near future.
