Rise, Tarnished,&#8221; the accompanying caption reads on the announcement&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DZKqVlUGtIm\/?img_index=1\">social posts<\/a>, and rise we shall.<\/p>\n<p>For those who have missed it (or if it&#8217;s been so long that you&#8217;ve simply forgotten), the new Tarnished Edition of FromSoft&#8217;s award winner packs in the base game and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, with the Switch 2 version getting a brand-new character class and special Torrent outfits to boot.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-instagram\">\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/p\/DZKqVlUGtIm\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2025\/08\/video-uh-oh-elden-ring-on-switch-2-has-issues-in-handheld-mode\">Initial impressions<\/a> out of Gamescom last year suggested that Elden Ring was looking pretty rough on Switch 2, however, the peeks that we&#8217;ve seen at events since then seem to suggest that things are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2026\/03\/round-up-the-previews-are-in-for-elden-rings-updated-switch-2-build\">moving in the right direction<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The project was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2025\/10\/elden-ring-delayed-on-switch-2-to-allow-time-for-performance-adjustments\">delayed<\/a> out of its original 2025 window at the end of last year, with Bandai Namco and FromSoftware needing more time for &#8220;performance adjustments&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>But all of that will be over in just a few short months. Will the delay have paid off on the performance front?
