It&#8217;s currently set to launch in <strong>January 2027<\/strong> on PC, Mac, Steam, PlayStation and Xbox platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The description attached to the video above also confirms it&#8217;s &#8220;coming to&#8221; the Nintendo Switch 2.<\/p>\n<p>This same trailer kicks off the Godless Realms Saga story arc and offers a glimpse into the adventures the Warrior of Light will experience on the fourth. Here&#8217;s what you can expect from this upcoming expansion and you can find out more on the <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/na.finalfantasyxiv.com\/evercold\/\">official game site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Two new jobs: tank and physical ranged DPS<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Level cap increase from 100 to 110<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New cities<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Distinctive new areas<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New gigantic constructs and other monstrous threats to overcome<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New allies to encounter<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New dungeons<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>New trials<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>A new raid series<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>A new Ultimate raid<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>PvP updates<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Ongoing content updates, including new gear and crafting recipes, updates to the Duty Support System and more<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<aside class=\"gallery\"><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\"><span class><\/span> Images: Square Enix<\/em><\/figcaption><\/aside>\n<p>During the same reveal, Yoshi-P also announced an &#8220;unprecedented&#8221; battle system overhaul, with Reborn and Evolved modes coming to FFXIV Online alongside the launch of Evercold.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Reborn Mode will be based on the current combat system and job mechanics, while Evolved Mode offers greater emphasis on job identity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Additionally, there&#8217;ll be expanded updates to the game&#8217;s design, including a seasons overhaul (updating how players earn rewards and improve their characters), an armoury update, and expanded character customisation.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"680o2J54FKY\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/680o2J54FKY?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Square Enix has also revealed XIV is crossing over with the Japanese anime <strong>Evangelion<\/strong>. Here&#8217;s a bit about it and what you can expect from it:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The exciting new alliance raid series is a crossover with the hugely popular Japanese anime, <em>EVANGELION<\/em>, and will be created in collaboration with khara, Inc., best known for its work on the <em>EVANGELION<\/em> series.
