Its combat, collectible augmentations, and planning are exceptionally well-formulated, ensuring no run is ever quite the same, and its strategic options and play-styles are ever-deepening. It\u2019s incredibly impressive in its reconstitution of arcade, role-playing, and roguelike formats, evolving them into something fresh and exciting.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, it\u2019s one of the best of its kind, whatever that kind may be. For those who dive in headfirst and keep track of everything <em>else<\/em> it throws at you, however, it is so much more than that.<\/p>\n<p>Rarely has a game made us feel more clever, more lost, and more elated the deeper into it we ventured, and <em>still<\/em> some question marks remain over its deeper mysteries. Oh, and you&#8217;ve got a dog with you to pet.<\/p>\n<p>With only two buttons controlling everything you do (and even an idle mode, if that&#8217;s your thing), there&#8217;s even a local co-op mode for a friend to join you in the same boat, so you can cast and chill together. It helps that it\u2019s nearly faultless on Switch 2 in particular.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes there\u2019s a bit <em>too<\/em> much going on, and in shooting for a bigger, more tragic story, it\u2019s lost a bit of heart.
