{"id":136788,"date":"2026-04-10T14:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/#article-199742"},"modified":"2026-04-10T14:30:00","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:30:00","slug":"level-5s-snack-world-rpg-is-getting-a-full-blown-remake-on-switch-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2026\/04\/10\/level-5s-snack-world-rpg-is-getting-a-full-blown-remake-on-switch-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Level-5&#8217;s &#8216;Snack World&#8217; RPG Is Getting A Full-Blown Remake On Switch 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"media_block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9d0842506a535\/large.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9d0842506a535\/small.jpg\" class=\"media_thumbnail\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/9d0842506a535\/large.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"sMXeY_R3j6E\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sMXeY_R3j6E?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\">\n<p>[embedded content]<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be honest, the 2017 RPG <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/snack_world_the_dungeon_crawl_-_gold\">Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl<\/a> was not on our &#8216;Switch 2 Remake&#8217; bingo card, but <em>surprise<\/em>, that&#8217;s exactly what&#8217;s happening.<\/p>\n<p>As revealed in today&#8217;s Level-5 showcase, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/snack-world-reloaded\">Snack World: Reloaded<\/a> is in the works for Switch 2, boasting a complete overhaul of the original game with new visuals, mechanics, and a fresh storyline from the perspective of the anime&#8217;s protagonist, Chup.<\/p>\n<p>Details are pretty light on the ground at the moment, but Level-5&#8217;s Akihiro Hino confirmed that development on the project is &#8220;going well&#8221;, so hopefully we don&#8217;t have too long to wait before we get to see what this one is all about \u2014 though, knowing Level-5, it may well be <em>years<\/em> down the line.<\/p>\n<p>The whole thing has a pretty strong <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/fantasy-life-i-the-girl-who-steals-time-nintendo-switch-2-edition\">Fantasy Life i<\/a> air to it, which we can&#8217;t blame the studio for falling back on after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2025\/12\/fantasy-life-i-the-girl-who-steals-time-reaches-another-major-sales-milestone-new-update-announced\">that game&#8217;s success last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We had a great time with Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl &#8211; Gold on Switch back in 2020, calling it &#8220;a beautifully presented helping of dungeon crawling, garnished with generous amounts of humour and charm&#8221; in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/reviews\/nintendo-switch\/snack_world_the_dungeon_crawl_-_gold\">our review<\/a>.
