And a month later, Bethesda has delivered.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a pretty meaty patch, so while DLSS is the headline here, crashes, memory handling, visual stability, and some missing button prompts have also been fixed.<\/p>\n<p>For the full rundown of what&#8217;s been added with this patch, you can head to Bethesda&#8217;s <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BethesdaStudios\/status\/2037229550908637581\">social media<\/a> or just read on here:<\/p>\n<h2>Fallout 4 &#8211; Nintendo Switch 2 March 26th Update<\/h2>\n<p>Today we released an update for Fallout 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2, bringing DLSS support, and a mix of other performance and stability improvements.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights<\/h3>\n<p><strong>NVIDIA DLSS Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Added NVIDIA DLSS support on for 40 fps and 60 fps modes which improves image quality and performance<\/li>\n<li>DLSS automatically disengages for UI-heavy screens (such as the Pip\u2011Boy) to ensure text remains sharp<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Fixes &amp; Improvements<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Stability<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed numerous crashes that could occur during normal gameplay<\/li>\n<li>Fixed crashes that occurred while saving or overwriting existing save files.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a crash caused by loading autosaves created during certain main quest moments.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed crashed caused by docking or undocking the system during gameplay.<\/li>\n<li>Improved overall memory handling to reduce long\u2011session instability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Performance &amp; Visuals<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addressed environmental flicker and lighting inconsistencies in certain interiors and weather conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed missing or incorrect visual effects such as water puddles, bullet holes, blood splatter, surface decals, and terrain textures.<\/li>\n<li>Improved visual stability when scrolling weapons at workbenches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>User Interface &amp; Menus<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed missing button prompts in trade menus.<\/li>\n<li>Resolved issues where HUD elements did not respect opacity settings.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed visual artifacts when reading notes or magazines at higher frame rates.<\/li>\n<li>Improved frame rate option behavior when switching between docked and handheld modes.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed cases where UI text or icons appeared incorrectly in certain languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Save &amp; Load<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed issues where the Load menu could become inaccessible in rare cases.<\/li>\n<li>Save files now properly update and display correct location names.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Exit saves&#8221; are now reliably created when quitting to the main menu.<\/li>\n<li>Improved stability when approaching the save limit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Controls &amp; Input<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved controller handling when switching between Joy\u2011Cons and wireless controllers.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed cases where input was not properly restored after controller re\u2011sync dialogs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Localization<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed missing or incorrect characters in Japanese and Traditional Chinese in crafting menus.<\/li>\n<li>Improved font handling and text clarity across supported languages.<\/li>\n<li>System keyboard now supports a broader range of characters when naming characters or items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quests &amp; Gameplay<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addressed issues with missing or unresponsive NPCs in rare scenarios.<\/li>\n<li>Improved consistency of quest-related environmental triggers and visual effects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><em>Have you been playing Fallout 4 on Switch 2?
