Now that February is over, Circana&#8217;s Mat Piscatella has shared data for the &#8220;Top Best-Selling Platinum Games&#8221; on Nintendo platforms in the US for this same month.<\/p>\n<p>The new Switch 2 exclusive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/mario-tennis-fever\">Mario Tennis Fever<\/a> took out the top spot, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/dragon-quest-vii-reimagined\">Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_legends_z-a\">Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A<\/a> in second and third place. Capcom&#8217;s new releases <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/resident-evil-requiem\">Resident Evil Requiem<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/resident-evil-generation-pack\">Generation Pack<\/a> (which includes Requiem) also featured on the charts.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind, Nintendo&#8217;s first-party titles do not factor in digital sales, and these charts do not share specific sales data for each game.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture keep\" data-uuid=\"3128479727b14\"><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"Nintendo Charts\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3128479727b14\/nintendo-charts.large.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/3128479727b14\/nintendo-charts.original.png\" width=\"625\" height=\"498\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Nintendo Charts\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\"><span class><\/span> Image: via Mat Piscatella \/ Circana<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Across all platforms, Resident Evil Requiem led the &#8220;Top 20 Best-selling Premium Games&#8221; in the US for February 2026 and debuted as the &#8220;best-selling video game of the year&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Resident Evil: Requiem debuted as the best-selling video game of the year. It also ranked 1st in February across the PlayStation, Xbox and the aggregated PC storefront charts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this week, Capcom announced Requiem had already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2026\/03\/resident-evil-requiem-reaches-another-impressive-sales-milestone\">sold more than six million units<\/a> since its release on 27th February 2026. Meanwhile, Mario Tennis Fever placed 11th on this month&#8217;s charts covering all platforms, and Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A dropped from 16th place to 19th place.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture keep\" data-uuid=\"b0445e00c9017\"><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"Multiplatform Charts\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b0445e00c9017\/multiplatform-charts.large.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/b0445e00c9017\/multiplatform-charts.original.png\" width=\"648\" height=\"826\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Multiplatform Charts\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\"><span class><\/span> Image: via Mat Piscatella \/ Circana<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Alongside this sales update, Piscatella has shared some additional data for February 2026, revealing Switch 2 hardware drove 22% year-on-year spending growth in the US, and this offset year-on-year declines across other platforms (including the original Switch). In saying this, PS5 once again led the market in unit and dollar sales for the month.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;PlayStation 5 again led the hardware market in both unit and dollar sales.
