{"id":135747,"date":"2026-01-20T18:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/#article-185781"},"modified":"2026-01-20T18:00:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T18:00:00","slug":"feature-40-games-wed-love-to-see-on-switch-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sickgaming.net\/blog\/2026\/01\/20\/feature-40-games-wed-love-to-see-on-switch-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Feature: 40 Games We&#8217;d Love To See On Switch 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"media_block\"><a href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/eef768fd91eff\/large.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/eef768fd91eff\/small.jpg\" class=\"media_thumbnail\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/eef768fd91eff\/large.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>The first months of Switch 2&#8217;s life saw plenty of multiplatform games arrive on Nintendo&#8217;s newest console \u2014 winners like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/cyberpunk-2077-ultimate-edition\">Cyberpunk 2077<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/no-mans-sky-nintendo-switch-2-edition\">No Man&#8217;s Sky<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/apex-legends\">Apex Legends<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/yakuza-0-directors-cut\">Yakuza 0<\/a> to name a handful \u2014 and its extra power affords devs the chance to bring newer, bigger, more ambitious games to the platform where ports simply weren&#8217;t viable on the old Switch.<\/p>\n<p>And yes, we&#8217;ve got things like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2025\/10\/elden-ring-delayed-on-switch-2-to-allow-time-for-performance-adjustments\">delayed<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/elden-ring-tarnished-edition\">Elden Ring<\/a> to look forward to, but we&#8217;re an insatiable bunch, always wanting more, more, <em>moaaaaar.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So here, Team NL presents our most wanted Switch 2 ports. We&#8217;re not begging \u2014 eight, nearly <em>nine<\/em> years of &#8216;Switch when?&#8217; have taken their toll on us, too. But hey, our machines are (vaguely) shiny and new and we&#8217;re jonesing to play some of the following on them.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Alan Wake 2<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"YKRhE5hcG_E\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YKRhE5hcG_E?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\">\n<p>[embedded content]<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>If the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/alan_wake_remastered\">Alan Wake<\/a> was a good game, then its sequel is a <em>great<\/em> one. It leans heavily into survival horror, but the way in which it weaves two parallel storylines is simply marvelous.<\/p>\n<p>The visuals are stunning, so a bit of jiggery-pokery might be needed to get it running well, but as long as it\u2019s not comparable to the visual dumpster fire that is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/alan_wake_remastered\">Alan Wake Remastered<\/a> on the Switch, then we\u2019re all good. <em>OR<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"XuCfkgaaa08\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XuCfkgaaa08?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The Game of the Year winner that brought D&amp;D to the masses back in 2023 and stole my heart with its endless possibilities. The indecisive part of me restarted my file with a different character type at least five times back on PS5, and while I&#8217;m hesitant that Switch 2 could run <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/baldurs_gate_3\" class=\"external\">Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3<\/a> properly without some serious cutbacks, I&#8217;d be willing to make it a sixth on the hybrid.<\/p>\n<p>You know, for science. <em>JN<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Blue Prince<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"wIrgdM6shNA\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wIrgdM6shNA?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/blue_prince\" class=\"external\">Blue Prince<\/a> is one of those games where you&#8217;re best going in knowing as little as possible. It&#8217;s a puzzler, it&#8217;s a roguelike, it&#8217;s a reason to fill up a notebook with some of the most indecipherable scribblings I&#8217;ve ever put to paper.<\/p>\n<p>This one got under my skin and wouldn&#8217;t let me go until I had solved some of its mysteries, and a Switch 2 port would only keep the madness spreading. <em>JN<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Call of Duty: Warzone<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"pqPCFUUbMiU\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pqPCFUUbMiU?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/ds\/call_of_duty_4_modern_warfare\">Call of Duty<\/a>? Now that&#8217;s a question for another time, but this series, now that Switch 2 can give us the framerates and online performance it requires, could be a big hit on Nintendo&#8217;s console.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d love to be able to kick back with any of the older games for starters, especially <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-360\/call_of_duty_advanced_warfare\" class=\"external\">Advanced Warfare<\/a> (a.k.a the best one), but the real magic, would come in a super solid and slick port of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-one\/call_of_duty_warzone\" class=\"external\">Call of Duty Warzone<\/a>. I love this multiplayer slice of CoD, it&#8217;s the only way I get my fix of it these days, and in portable it could prove to be really hard to put down. Oh, and with gyro aiming? *swoon* <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- cache: html:nintendolife.com\/ssl\/nintendo-switch-2\/related-articles:195699,195987 @ 1768994435 --><\/p>\n<aside class=\"block object-related\"> <\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Clair Obscur: Expedition 33<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"ejgW-upPMgk\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ejgW-upPMgk?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/clair_obscur_expedition_33\" class=\"external\">Clair Obscur<\/a> is <em>the<\/em> video game of the moment; almost four months after its release, this French-developed turn-based RPG is still dominating conversations The combat is terrific and the music is <em>phenomenal<\/em> (please, just listen to the track <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/zmvsw2ILX5k?si=m2UcW7jF855V3OiU\">Lumi\u00e8re<\/a>), but what makes this game so special to me is its story. What it has to say about grief, family, trauma, and how everything is meticulously plotted and paced. Sure, there are plenty of rough edges, but this might be the best debut from a studio in\u2026 forever?<\/p>\n<p>More people should play it, and it feels like a no-brainer to bring it to Switch 2. <em>AH<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Dead Space<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"G5JviLRgXes\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G5JviLRgXes?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>When was the first time you played <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/dead_space\" class=\"external\">Dead Space<\/a>? It&#8217;s one of those games that sticks with you, innit, is Isaac Clarke&#8217;s harrowing ordeal. The sort of thing you have to dig out and replay every time you think on it for too long. Yes, Isaac, I&#8217;m very sorry, but you&#8217;re going to have to go through all of that again, dear. <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Death Stranding (2)<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"HdzIwQhYABQ\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HdzIwQhYABQ?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Kojima loves the smell of his own and that winds me up, but there is an unhinged ambition to him that I admire even if I struggle to enjoy it. We&#8217;re all better off for having him working in games, and having heard discussion around his latest WTFFest, I&#8217;m intrigued to experience it firsthand.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/death_stranding_2_on_the_beach\" class=\"external\">Death Stranding 2<\/a> given the choice between 1 and 2. I&#8217;m not sure I could manage both. <em>GL<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Diablo 4<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"mZEzFyxKjt8\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mZEzFyxKjt8?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>It&#8217;s surely in the pipeline this, it&#8217;s got to be. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/diablo_iii_eternal_collection\">Diablo 3<\/a> is one of my most-played games on Switch, and if we could just swing a port of this on S2, one that lands with all previously-released DLC&#8230;well, I may just be tempted to run the whole thing all over again.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/diablo_4\" class=\"external\">Diablo 4<\/a> is, without question, the best this series has been in a long, long time, and it&#8217;s a game that&#8217;s gone from strength to strength since it first released. An almost endless amount of fun to be had here, and that&#8217;s exactly why we need \u2014 as a matter of urgency \u2014 to have it all of this hellish goodness available to play on our portable consoles. IMMEDIATELY! Sorry for shouting. <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">DOOM: The Dark Ages<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"WDGJHtV_r-Y\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WDGJHtV_r-Y?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>We\u2019ve got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/doom\">DOOM<\/a>. We\u2019ve got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/doom_eternal\">DOOM: Eternal<\/a>. We\u2019ve got all the old <strong>DOOM<\/strong>s. Let\u2019s make it complete with a port of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/doom_the_dark_ages\" class=\"external\">DOOM: The Dark Ages<\/a>, hm? Given that the 2016 reboot and its 2020 sequel ran surprisingly well on the Switch, I think The Dark Ages could hold its own on the Switch 2.<\/p>\n<p>And what a game! I know it\u2019s proven to be quite divisive, but it\u2019s my personal favourite of the modern trilogy. I love how <em>heavy<\/em> it feels compared to the zippy, floaty gameplay in Eternal, and I\u2019ll never tire of ramming into a group of enemies with my shield. Delightfully gory stuff. <em>OR<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">El Paso, Elsewhere<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"c7MJHjBUA8Q\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/c7MJHjBUA8Q?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p><a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/el_paso_elsewhere\">El Paso, Elsewhere<\/a> launched on PC and Xbox in September 2023, so it&#8217;s been a while. The devs, Strange Scaffold, have been busy since then with games like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/teenage_mutant_ninja_turtles_tactical_takedown\">TMNT: Tactical Takedown<\/a> \u2014 which is great, by the way \u2014 but perhaps they&#8217;d consider bringing this neo-noir homage to <strong>Max Payne<\/strong> (you know, with vampires) to Switch 2. <em>GL<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Fallout: New Vegas<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"l-x-1fm2cq8\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l-x-1fm2cq8?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Usually I&#8217;d go for the newest, biggest and slickest entry in a series for my dream port, but here it&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps3\/fallout_new_vegas\" class=\"external\">Fallout: New Vegas<\/a> that I&#8217;m plumping for, because it&#8217;s the best one. Thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, it may not look the best &#8211; although they all look the same in my opinion, so that helps &#8211; but this spin-off has the best characters, writing and choice-driven shenanigans of the lot. Put it on Switch 2 and I will happily play it another couple of times, just to see all the stuff I missed back in ye olden days. <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- cache: html:nintendolife.com\/ssl\/nintendo-switch-2\/related-articles:192930 @ 1768995821 --><\/p>\n<aside class=\"block object-related\"> <\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Final Fantasy XIV<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"CxHSSRjFH14\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CxHSSRjFH14?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>I know I <em>could<\/em> say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/final_fantasy_xvi\" class=\"external\">Final Fantasy XVI<\/a>, but the real, best modern Final Fantasy (that isn\u2019t <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/final_fantasy_vii_rebirth\" class=\"external\">Rebirth<\/a>, and that\u2019s basically guaranteed to come to Switch 2) is a big ol\u2019 MMORPG.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/final_fantasy_xiv_online_a_realm_reborn\" class=\"external\">Final Fantasy XIV<\/a>, particularly the <strong>Shadowbringers<\/strong> and <strong>Endwalker<\/strong> expansions, touches on all the things I love in storytelling. There\u2019s also just <em>so<\/em> much to do too, with fun callbacks to the entire series, and so many jobs and crafters to play around with. I\u2019d love to be able to play FFXIV in handheld, and getting it on this new console would be a dream. Put in the effort, and the journey&#8217;s worth it. <em>AH<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Forza<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"W-SpP-Z0Uu8\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/W-SpP-Z0Uu8?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>As an occasional Forza fan (I played <strong>2<\/strong> to death, and I bought and enjoyed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-one\/forza_horizon_4\" class=\"external\">Horizon 4<\/a> quite a bit), I&#8217;d love to have the series arrive on Switch 2 and bolster a genre which had <em>some<\/em> bright lights on Switch 1 (hello, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/grid_autosport\">GRID<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/burnout_paradise_remastered\">Burnout Paradise<\/a>), but which were few and far between.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a gap in the library and Microsoft could fill it. That is assuming there&#8217;s anybody left at any of their studios to work up the port. <em>GL<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Grand Theft Auto 6<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube with-primis\" data-videoid=\"QdBZY2fkU-0\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QdBZY2fkU-0?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps3\/grand_theft_auto_v\" class=\"external\">GTA 5<\/a> much. Sorry, I just really hated Trevor, so I never finished up the story. But, this doesn&#8217;t mean I ain&#8217;t excited for the new one, or that I&#8217;m not a huge fan of the series, because I am!<\/p>\n<p>However, I am yearning for Rockstar&#8217;s brand of madness, and I&#8217;m really excited about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/grand_theft_auto_6\" class=\"external\">Grand Theft Auto 6<\/a>. Now, imagine if they managed to shrink it all down and put it on the Switch 2 so I can play it whilst out and about in my actual hood. We&#8217;ve yet to learn all that much about the game, but I daresay it&#8217;s gonna be quite the behemoth, and a looker to boot, so I&#8217;m gonna suggest we forget about the ray-tracing and it&#8217;ll all be grand. I am so down with the technical side of things. <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Grounded 2<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"q0HQNOtg1WI\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/q0HQNOtg1WI?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/grounded_2\" class=\"external\">Grounded 2<\/a> is a game I&#8217;m always surprised more people aren&#8217;t talking about. I mean, I know they are talking a bit \u2014 I&#8217;ve been on the forums \u2014 but in general, for a survival game this special, it&#8217;s been oddly muted. The first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/grounded\">Grounded<\/a> delivered a very solid experience, and it&#8217;s something I pumped a whole lot more time into than I expected, so I was very excited for part two.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s better in every way. Looks-wise, gameplay-wise, and in how it&#8217;s been streamlined and smoothed in its general ebb and flow, to keep you picking at its top survival mechanics, engrossing exploration and fun storylines. Oh, and with co-op on the cards, surely the Switch 2&#8217;s new social functions could be put to good use! <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Half-Life 2<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"kWnzRGD9NDE\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kWnzRGD9NDE?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>I recently replayed Gordon Freeman&#8217;s second (and best) adventure off the back of having played through <strong>Half Life: Alyx<\/strong>, and I can tell you that it&#8217;s still a corker in every way.<\/p>\n<p>If Valve could just see fit to work some magic for Switch 2 owners, I&#8217;m almost certain everyone and their pet head crab would be wanting in on the action all over again. Chomping at the bit to get back on that airboat. That&#8217;s what we&#8217;d all be. <em>PJ<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>[Orange Box, please. &#8211; Ed]<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Halo: The Master Chief Collection<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"77dOF5kijwU\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/77dOF5kijwU?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Right, listen. <strong>Halo<\/strong>\u2019s going multiplatform. I know it\u2019s not been officially confirmed yet, but it\u2019s happening. With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/forza_horizon_5\" class=\"external\">Forza Horizon 5<\/a> now on PlayStation and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/gears_of_war_reloaded\" class=\"external\">Gears of War<\/a> shortly making the jump, Halo is seemingly the last bastion of major Xbox exclusives. But not for long.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2025\/01\/rumour-insider-claims-that-halo-master-chief-collection-will-come-to-switch-2\">Rumours have already proliferated<\/a> indicating that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-one\/halo_the_master_chief_collection\" class=\"external\">Halo: The Master Chief Collection<\/a> will soon come to Switch 2, and I reckon it would be the perfect fit. The system is leagues above what the Xbox One could manage, so theoretically every game could run at a slick 4K\/60fps, or maybe even 120fps. I personally dive into the original Bungie trilogy at least once a year, so playing them on the go on the Switch 2 sounds like a dream come true. <em>OR<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Hi-Fi Rush<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"PqevZn5MOaw\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PqevZn5MOaw?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>I\u2019m not sure why no one has ever come up with a rhythm-action game before, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purexbox.com\/games\/xbox-series-x\/hi-fi_rush\" class=\"external\">Hi-Fi Rush<\/a> oozes charm, attitude, and personality. I love everything about the look of this game, from the bright aesthetic and the selection of music, to the rocking original compositions. So why on earth haven\u2019t I played this yet?<\/p>\n<p>I admit, it\u2019s because I <em>thought<\/em> this would come to Switch, but after Tango Gameworks was shut down \u2014 then saved from the brink \u2013 I think we\u2019re in for a shot on Switch 2. I have no idea if the end result will live up to the trailer&#8217;s showcasing of the creators&#8217; patented weirdness (and those side-on bits admittedly look a little rote), but I&#8217;d love to find out on a Switch. <em>GL<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Immortality<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"o8tV-R7Rfhg\" data-start=\"0\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o8tV-R7Rfhg?rel=0&amp;hd=1&amp;showinfo=0&amp;modestbranding=0&amp;autohide=1\"><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>We can already play Sam Barlow&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/telling_lies\">Telling Lies<\/a> on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility, and if there&#8217;s no chance of Sam Barlow&#8217;s <strong>Her Story<\/strong> making a return, Sam Barlow&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/immortality\" class=\"external\">Immortality<\/a> \u2014 a fascinating lost-footage mystery game that launched to great acclaim elsewhere in 2022 \u2014 would be a super sub.<\/p>\n<p>I also think it&#8217;s time for the Sid Meier-isation of Sam Barlow.
