The release of the DLC on Christmas Eve appears to be a direct nod to <strong>Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams<\/strong>, a promotional sampler disc that released in the festive period of 1996.<\/p>\n<p>There are even more free characters on the way too, with AiAi from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/super_monkey_ball_banana_rumble\">Super Monkey Ball<\/a> expected to drop in January, followed by Tangle and Whisper in February.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve purchased the additional Season Pass, you can also enjoy characters such as Spongebob Squarepants and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/minecraft\">Minecraft<\/a>&#8216;s Steve, with <strong>Pac-Man<\/strong> racers also expected in January.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"gallery\"><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\"><span class><\/span> Images: Sega<\/em><\/figcaption><\/aside>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/reviews\/nintendo-switch-2\/sonic-racing-crossworlds-nintendo-switch-2-edition\">our review<\/a> for the Switch 2 version of CrossWorlds, we said that &#8220;Nintendo has a competitor on Switch 2 that is at the very least equal to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/mario-kart-world\">Mario Kart World<\/a> if not better in certain respects&#8221;.
