This is a remarkable increase of 40 million over the previous year. The majority of this will have come from the most recent mainline entries, <a href=\"\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/11\/pokemon-scarlet-and-violet-surpass-10-million-sales-in-first-three-days-setting-new-nintendo-record\">Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet<\/a>. The open-world games sold an incredible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/11\/pokemon-scarlet-and-violet-surpass-10-million-sales-in-first-three-days-setting-new-nintendo-record\">10 million copies within just three days<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2023\/02\/pokemon-scarlet-and-violet-surpasses-20-million-units-sold-in-just-six-weeks\">20 million in six weeks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not all though. Let&#8217;s take a peek at some other key statistics from The Pok\u00e9mon Company:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over 52.9 billion Pok\u00e9mon cards produced<\/li>\n<li>Franchise sold in 89 countries and regions<\/li>\n<li>Animated show broadcast in 192 countries and regions<\/li>\n<li>Pok\u00e9mon game series available in 9 languages<\/li>\n<li>Pok\u00e9mon TCG available in 14 languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not bad, then! Indeed, Pok\u00e9mon remains the highest-grossing media franchise in the world, above the likes of Mickey Mouse, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Despite this, Scarlet and Violet received a great deal of attention for their poor technical performance at launch, alongside a heap of severe visual bugs.<\/p>\n<p>Later this year, a major DLC expansion for Scarlet and Violet called &#8216;The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero&#8217; will launch in two parts and introduce new areas and Pok\u00e9mon.
