The eShop listings in the US, Japan and other regions say it will require approximately <strong>15.9GB<\/strong> of free space.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this is still subject to change between now and the release of the game next month on <strong>12th May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"picture\"><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/de285ecf76409\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom.large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciIHZpZXdCb3g9IjAgMCA5MDAgNDY2Ij48L3N2Zz4=\" width=\"900\" height=\"466\" data-original=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/de285ecf76409\/zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom.900x.jpg\" alt=\"Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\">Image: via Nintendo.com<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Compared to Link&#8217;s original Switch outing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/legend_of_zelda_breath_of_the_wild\">The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/a> (coming in at <strong>14.4GB<\/strong>), Tears of the Kingdom is still officially the bigger game of the two. In general, it&#8217;s still a rather large file size, with other recent games like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/xenoblade_chronicles_3\">Xenoblade Chronicles 3<\/a> only taking up around 14GB.<\/p>\n<p>Tears of the Kingdom&#8217;s price will also be bumped up by $10 &#8211; raising it to <strong>$69.99 USD<\/strong> (or the regional equivalent). Nintendo has said it won&#8217;t be making this a trend, and it&#8217;s decided on a case-by-case basis.
