Clearly, we were wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Publisher Motion Twin has today announced that a lengthy new patch, &#8216;Clean Cut&#8217;, is now available on PC and will be heading to consoles soon. This seems to be yet another big one, adding in two new weapons, additions to the Boss Rush and Training Room, a speedrun mode and the ability to put Bobby&#8217;s head on most outfits.<\/p>\n<p><!-- cache: html:nintendolife.com\/ssl\/nintendo-switch\/related-articles:146191 @ 2023-04-28T01:10:33+01:00 --><\/p>\n<aside class=\"block object-related\"> <\/aside>\n<p>The full patch notes were shared over on the <a href=\"https:\/\/dead-cells.com\/patchnotes\">official Dead Cells site<\/a>, and we gathered them together for you to check out below:<\/p>\n<h2>Dead Cells &#8216;Clean Cut&#8217; (releasing soon)<\/h2>\n<h3>Important features<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>New Survival Weapon: <strong>Sewing Scissors<\/strong>.<br \/>Instakills all enemies it hits, as long as at least one of them dies to the weapon&#8217;s standard damage.<\/li>\n<li>New Brutality Weapon: <strong>Giant Comb<\/strong>.<br \/>Throws your enemies upwards, and deals critical damage to airborne mobs!<\/li>\n<li>New NPC: <strong>Tailor&#8217;s Daughter<\/strong>.<br \/>Find her in the <strong>Tailor&#8217;s Room<\/strong>, and talk to her to freely change the look of your head.<\/li>\n<li>New <strong>Speedrun Mode<\/strong> option.<br \/>Activate it to track and display the completion time of each biome. Also tracks your previous bests and compares them!<\/li>\n<li>New <strong>Boss Rush DIY Mode<\/strong>, that lets you choose whichever bosses you want to face in a run.<\/li>\n<li>The 3 Bosses from <strong>Return to Castlevania<\/strong> are now accessible in <strong>Boss Rush<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Lots of rework on the <strong>Training Room!<\/strong> We added a bunch of options to streamline the experimentation process, such as:<br \/>&#8211; New UIs to spawn a specific weapon with a set Level, Quality and Legendary-ness.<br \/>&#8211; New UI to choose a certain number of scrolls<br \/>&#8211; New UI to choose the overall scaling level of the Training Room, based on the values of a selected biome.<br \/>&#8211; Added the mini-bosses to the mob spawners<br \/>&#8211; Added a bunch of different traps to the mob rooms.<br \/>&#8211; Added the Return to Castlevania Bosses.<br \/>&#8211; Bosses aren&#8217;t scaled down to level 1 anymore! <em>(no more 20 minutes fights)<\/em><br \/>&#8211; Changed the UI to select mobs to a grid-based one.<br \/>&#8211; Added a Training Dummy for DPS calculation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Balancing<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Slow<\/strong> effects now stack up to 5 times. Each stack has a greater slowing effect, then the affected enemy is frozen at the fifth stack.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bunch of Mutation Reworks:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Combo<\/strong>: Enable a damage increase with every melee hit in a 2.5 sec window (of course the window refreshes after every hit). It scales exponentially, go crazy with it!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tainted Flask<\/strong>: Can recharge even if your flask is not totally empty. It also adds 1 more elite into every biome when equipped.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Networking<\/strong>: Marks enemies with ranged attacks now, there doesn&#8217;t need to be an actual projectile stuck in the mob&#8217;s body anymore.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Berserker<\/strong>: Can now stack, and renders you immune to stuns.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What Doesn&#8217;t Kill You<\/strong>: Now grants recovery instead of healing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Necromancy<\/strong>: Also now grants recovery instead of healing. It scales with the max health of the mobs you kill, which means you can get more recovery by killing a stronger enemy. The cap has been removed, but it\u2019s less effective as you get closer to max health.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Frostbite<\/strong>: Now stacks with slow effects and acts as a full stack on frozen targets.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dead Inside<\/strong>: Doubles your life but prevents ALL healing sources.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Disengagement<\/strong>: No more cooldown!.. but can only trigger once per biome.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Return to Castlevania balancing:<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Whip Sword &#8211; Whip Form<\/strong> now passes through shields.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Whip Sword&#8217;s<\/strong> transformation attack hitbox tended to bug, it should now be consistent with its visual FX, which means it won\u2019t only hit one single target anymore.<\/li>\n<li>The ghosts gathered by <strong>Death&#8217;s Scythe<\/strong> now have a slightly smaller explosion radius.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bible<\/strong> is now considered to be a heavy weapon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alucard&#8217;s Shield<\/strong> has better parry windows, and the whole combo will now crit after a parry.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rebound Stone<\/strong> now deals slightly more damage, and has a smaller but longer window before being able to &#8220;catch it&#8221; (i.e., trigger the crit). Its cooldown now starts upon its destruction.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Holy Water<\/strong> has a bigger vertical hitbox, and the flame now deals damage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medusa Head<\/strong> deals more damage and bumps further.<\/li>\n<li>Added a long cooldown when the <strong>Cat<\/strong> is killed by the <strong>Queen<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Throwing Axe<\/strong> can no longer roll the <strong>Fire Bullet<\/strong> affix.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medusa&#8217;s<\/strong> flurry attacks should now have a small pause after the end of the attack.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Haunted Armor<\/strong> (the one with an axe) should now activate at a slightly longer range.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Elite Mermans<\/strong> should now fire 2 big fireballs instead of a big one and a normal one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dracula (Humanoid)&#8217;s<\/strong> fire pillars are now slightly easier to avoid (in terms of intervals) but are not rollable anymore.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dracula (Demon), Buer, Werewolves and Medusa<\/strong> are now considered to be Beasts (crits with the <strong>Crowbar<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Reverted the change on <strong>What Doesn&#8217;t Kill You<\/strong>. It now grants healing instead of recovery again. <em>Update 34.1<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dead Inside<\/strong> now allows for healing with recovery. <em>Update 34.1<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Level design<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Mimic<\/strong> can now appear randomly in shops outside of the <strong>Bank<\/strong>. <em>Mwahahahah<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Switched the <strong>Dracula Castle (Hard)<\/strong> Cursed Chest chance to 10%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Graphics &amp; UI<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Added a new <strong>Petrification<\/strong> affect icon.<\/li>\n<li>Reorganized the partners part of the credits. <em>Update 34.1<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Bug fixes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Agitated Pickpocket<\/strong> being able to hit through <strong>Global Shields<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a crash when an <strong>Automaton<\/strong> falls off a platform while using its <strong>Dash Attack<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a crash when saving a reloading while a <strong>Petrified<\/strong> enemy is on screen.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a softlock when falling off the map during <strong>Dracula &#8211; Final Form<\/strong>, while all platforms were destroyed.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a crash when using the <strong>Emergency Door<\/strong> during the <strong>Queen<\/strong> boss fight.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed the <strong>Shop Mimic&#8217;s<\/strong> hitboxes being too big compared to the visual.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Cursed Sword<\/strong> not disabling other inventory items when switched slots.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a crash in <strong>Shipwreck<\/strong>, when a platform is destroyed at the same time as <strong>Mushroom Boi<\/strong> is spawned.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed being able to duplicate <strong>Turrets<\/strong> using the <strong>Emergency Door<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Diverse Deck &#8211; Foresight<\/strong> tagging the blocked attacks as if they were blocked by a shield.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Serenade<\/strong> destroying deployables when activated.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Gold Plating<\/strong> not protecting against <strong>Dracula &#8211; Final Form&#8217;s<\/strong> grab.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Bobby Head&#8217;s<\/strong> disappearing in the <strong>Tailor&#8217;s Room<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Bible&#8217;s<\/strong> projectile disappearing after a cutscene.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Heal Flask<\/strong> glow effect also affecting the player&#8217;s glow effect.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed weapons&#8217; crit indicator sometimes not displaying.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Morning Star&#8217;s<\/strong> chain detaching itself from the base.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed <strong>Pets&#8217;<\/strong> behavior being broken in <strong>Dracula&#8217;s<\/strong> opening cutscene.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a crash when loading a save near the <strong>Bank<\/strong> elevator. <em>Update 34.1<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Fixed &#8220;Hold to Jump&#8221; option instantly using the double jump. <em>Update 34.1<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p>We don&#8217;t have an official date for when this is coming to Switch just yet, though we will be keeping an eye out over the coming days and will be sure to keep you updated.<\/p>\n<p><em>What are you excited to see added this time around?
