Last week&#8217;s champion, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps5\/resident_evil_4\" class=\"external\">Resident Evil 4<\/a>, saw a substantial decrease in sales with the PS5 version dropping from 89,662 copies sold down to only 18,510. This placed the game in second, with the PS4 version following one position behind.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of debuts, the Japan-only horse racing series expanded this week with the release of <strong>Winning Post 10<\/strong>, which got off to a pretty good start on Switch, selling 12,979 copies.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, the usual suspects continue to close in on their next million milestone, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_scarlet_and_violet\">Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/splatoon_3\">Splatoon 3<\/a> nearing five and four million total sales respectively \u2014 that&#8217;s pretty good going, we&#8217;d say.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s your look at the Japanese software top ten:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>[NSW] Kirby\u2019s Return to Dream Land Deluxe (Nintendo, 02\/24\/23) \u2013 21,014 (357,157)<\/li>\n<li>[PS5] Resident Evil 4 (Capcom, 03\/24\/23) \u2013 18,510 (108,172)<\/li>\n<li>[PS4] Resident Evil 4 (Capcom, 03\/24\/23) \u2013 16,604 (101,975)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Winning Post 10 (Koei Tecmo, 03\/30\/23) \u2013 12,979 (New)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet \/ Pok\u00e9mon Violet (The Pok\u00e9mon Company, 11\/18\/22) \u2013 12,426 (4,972,063)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Splatoon 3 (Nintendo, 09\/09\/22) \u2013 10,762 (3,969,635)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/mario_kart_8_deluxe\">Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/a> (Nintendo, 04\/28\/17) \u2013 10,377 (5,224,493)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/minecraft\">Minecraft<\/a> (Microsoft, 06\/21\/18) \u2013 8,133 (3,091,142)<\/li>\n<li>[PS5] Winning Post 10 (Koei Tecmo, 03\/30\/23) \u2013 7,144 (New)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/nintendo_switch_sports\">Nintendo Switch Sports<\/a> (Nintendo, 04\/29\/22) \u2013 7,101 (1,045,270)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr>\n<p>Onto hardware now, and the Switch OLED once again finds itself in pole position this week in Japan with 38,880 units sold compared to the PS5 with 28,654.
