The latest Japanese charts are in from Famitsu<\/a> (via Gematsu<\/a>) and this week sees two new titles thrown into the mix \u2014 though the familiar classics continue to put up big numbers.<\/p>\n

Resident Evil 4<\/a> on the PS5 and PS4 take the top two spots this time around, selling 89,662 and 85,371 copies respectively, finally knocking Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe<\/a> off the top spot (now sitting in fourth place). Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key<\/a> also made a strong debut on the Switch, selling 31,140 copies and just about getting on the podium in third.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, it’s business as usual in the charts this week. Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet<\/a> continue to push ever closer to the five million mark, and the likes of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/a>, Splatoon 3<\/a> and Minecraft<\/a> show off their longevity once again.<\/p>\n

    Over to the hardware side of things and this week finally sees the Switch OLED re-taking the top spot after a few weeks of dominance from the PS5. Nintendo’s upgraded model sold an impressive 36,604 units, just beating the PS5’s 34,154 this time around.<\/p>\n

    The Switch and Switch Lite manage to fall into third and fourth respectively, while the New 2DS LL continues to bring up the rear with just 84 machines sold this week \u2014 hang in there champ!<\/p>\n
