According to this week&#8217;s Famitsu charts (via <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gematsu.com\/2023\/02\/famitsu-sales-1-30-23-2-5-23\">Gematsu<\/a>), after outselling all three models last week, the PlayStation 5 has once again topped the hardware charts with a huge 76,450 units sold in the week of 30th January to 6th February. The Switch OLED is behind it, but it sold almost half as much as the PS5 with 32,780 units shifted.<\/p>\n<p>However, Nintendo is still doing remarkably well with its software \u2014 a sentiment that was echoed in the company&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2023\/02\/nintendo-says-switch-chip-shortages-are-largely-resolved-as-it-cuts-forecasts\">latest financial report<\/a>. in fact, the entire top ten is made up entirely of Switch games this week in the boxed charts, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/pokemon_scarlet_and_violet\">Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet &amp; Violet<\/a> back in the top spot, selling another 31,191 copies. Last week&#8217;s number one, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/story_of_seasons_a_wonderful_life\">Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life<\/a>, is down in fifth, selling below 10,000 copies.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it&#8217;s been a bit of a quiet week, with only Pok\u00e9mon selling more than 15k boxed copies. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/splatoon_3\">Splatoon 3<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/mario_kart_8_deluxe\">Mario Kart 8 Deluxe<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/fire_emblem_engage\">Fire Emblem Engage<\/a> are all close to the mark, with the strategy RPG closing in on 200,000 copies sold in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Here are this week&#8217;s Japanese charts in full:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>[NSW] Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet &amp; Violet (The Pok\u00e9mon Company, 11\/18\/22) \u2013 31,191 (4,807,491)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Splatoon 3 (Nintendo, 09\/09\/22) \u2013 14,298 (3,862,841)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo, 04\/28\/17) \u2013 13,858 (5,142,172)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Fire Emblem Engage (Nintendo, 01\/20\/23) \u2013 12,920 (185,920)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life (Marvelous, 01\/26\/23) \u2013 9,522 (50,281)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/minecraft\">Minecraft<\/a> (Microsoft, 06\/21\/18) \u2013 7,723 (3,032,742)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/nintendo_switch_sports\">Nintendo Switch Sports<\/a> (Nintendo, 04\/29\/22) \u2013 7,461 (994,203)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/mario_party_superstars\">Mario Party Superstars<\/a> (Nintendo, 10\/29\/21) \u2013 6,346 (1,169,936)<\/li>\n<li>[NSW] <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/super_smash_bros_ultimate\">Super Smash Bros. In fact, even the Digital Edition has outsold the original Switch model and the Lite \u2014 but not the OLED. It&#8217;s an impressive week for Sony, that&#8217;s for sure.
