However, it does not say when the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro line will launch. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>Apple partner TSMC <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/12\/26\/tsmc-starting-production-of-3nm-chips-for-mac-iphone\">began mass production<\/a> of its 3-nanometer chip process for the next generations of Mac, iPhone, and other Apple devices in late December. An earlier rumor in June claimed Apple would <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/06\/28\/apple-silicons-m2-pro-may-shift-to-3nm-process-in-late-2022\">use the new chip process<\/a> in the aforementioned MacBook Pro lineup.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>Analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/ming-chi-kuo\" title=\"Ming-Chi Kuo\" data-kpt=\"1\">Ming-Chi Kuo<\/a> reported in September that Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/09\/07\/m2-pro-max-macbook-pro-production-orders-reportedly-reduced\">had cut orders<\/a> for the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro line as much as 30% before production began.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AppleInsider may earn an affiliate commission on purchases made through links on our site.
