Now, a new <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/airtags\">AirTag<\/a> support article lets users see what&#8217;s changed.\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>Apple updated the AirTag on November 10 to <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/11\/10\/apple-rolls-out-new-airtag-firmware-update\">version 2.0.24.<\/a> The update, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT213245\">detailed by<\/a> Apple and <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2022\/12\/19\/whats-new-airtag-firmware-updates\/\">spotted by<\/a> <em>9to5Mac<\/em>, enables Precision Finding to help users locate an unknown AirTag following them. The AirTag also will emit a noise.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>The feature is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/02\/10\/apple-announces-airtag-find-my-changes-to-cut-down-on-stalking-misuse\">Apple&#8217;s commitment<\/a> to prevent people from using an AirTag to stalk others.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/12\/12\/apple-releases-airtag-firmware-update-2036\">also updated<\/a> AirTag on December 12 to version 2.0.36. This update fixed a bug where the accelerometer was not activating in certain scenarios.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>While users typically have ways to update devices&#8217; firmware manually, there is no such option for AirTag. Instead, users have to wait for it to occur on its own.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>You can check the firmware version of your AirTag via the <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/find-my\" title=\"Find My\" data-kpt=\"1\">Find My<\/a> app on your phone.
