Additionally, profits grew by 73.9 per cent year over year to $1.6 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Gameloft saw a 12 percent growth in revenues from advertising activities and sales via app stores, with more than 2.5 million downloads per day across all platforms in 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>65 percent\u00a0of Gameloft\u2019s revenues were generated by internally developed franchises from titles like\u00a0<em>Disney Magic Kingdoms<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Asphalt 8: Airborne.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The developer maintained an average of 2.5 million downloads per day throughout 2017, but its monthly active users dropped\u00a0to 128 million while\u00a0its daily active users fell\u00a0to 15 million.<\/p>\n<p>However, Gameloft disclaims that its reported results for 2016 only account for the latter half of the year, due to it being &#8220;consolidated&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting\u00a0that the report did not mention <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/view\/news\/314449\/Report_Gameloft_closes_New_Orleans_studio_layoffs_at_Gameloft_Madrid.php\">the closure of its New Orleans studio or layoffs at Madrid.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to a\u00a0report detailing the company&#8217;s fiscal year ended December 2017, Vivendi\u00a0posted revenues of $15.6 billion for the year, up 15 per cent year over\u00a0year.
