Now, we&#8217;re not going to lie, we think the silver border looks <em>much<\/em> better; the yellow design looked pretty nice back in the day, but by modern standards, it&#8217;s a little bit cheap looking.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\"><!-- cache: oembed\/https:\/\/twitter.com\/serebiinet\/statuses\/1601217735551488000 @ 2022-12-10T09:01:42+00:00 --><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Serebii Note: Yellow borders are now gone from the Pok\u00e9mon Trading Card Game in English as of Scarlet &amp; Violet. All booster packs will now feature three guaranteed foil cards per booster as well<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gDbXkHT3ar\">https:\/\/t.co\/gDbXkHT3ar<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Im7lKwaeVX\">pic.twitter.com\/Im7lKwaeVX<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Serebii.net (@SerebiiNet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SerebiiNet\/status\/1601217735551488000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 9, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokemon.com\/us\/pokemon-news\/pokemon-tcg-scarlet-violet-brings-changes-to-the-pokemon-trading-card-game\">official Pok\u00e9mon site<\/a> says about the change:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Moving forward, the classic yellow borders framing Pok\u00e9mon TCG cards will transition to the same silver border used in Japan. This change both frames Pok\u00e9mon TCG artwork in its originally intended border and further unifies the game on a global level. The subcategory of Trainer cards (Supporter, Stadium, etc.) currently located on the top right of Trainer cards will be moved to the top left of the card\u2014to be more visible in players\u2019 hands.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><\/blockquote>\n<p>Not only that, but it&#8217;s been confirmed that the price of Pok\u00e9mon cards will increase slightly in line with inflation, from $3.99 to $4.49 USD, but to off-set this there will be three guaranteed foil cards in each booster pack and all rare or higher cards will be foil, so that&#8217;s nice.<\/p>\n<p><em>What do you make of this change to the Pok\u00e9mon TCG?
