And, of course, the developers at Gameloft are steadily fixing a lot of bugs, glitches, and other issues that players have been reporting over the past couple of months of early access.<\/p>\n<p>But we&#8217;re not here to discuss bugs today, because that&#8217;s boring. Even with the unfinished state of the game currently, we&#8217;ve been loving our time in Dreamlight Valley&#8230; but we have some ideas that we&#8217;d love to take to the next town council meeting.<\/p>\n<p>So here are 25 changes, additions, and tweaks that we&#8217;d love to see in the next big Disney Dreamlight Valley update, all of which would make the experience even better. We really hope that Gameloft adds a few more activities, because some of the furniture in the game is gorgeous \u2014 it would be nice if we (and the villagers) could interact with it more!<\/p>\n<p>Some potential ideas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tossing coins in the well<\/li>\n<li>Sitting in the hot tub<\/li>\n<li>Getting in the hot air balloon<\/li>\n<li>Interacting with burger\/ice cream stall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Better critters<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"picture embed img-900x\"><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"25 Things Disney Dreamlight Valley Update\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/89ed7970c3c48\/25-things-disney-dreamlight-valley-update.large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciIHZpZXdCb3g9IjAgMCA5MDAgNTA2Ij48L3N2Zz4=\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" data-original=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/89ed7970c3c48\/25-things-disney-dreamlight-valley-update.900x.jpg\" alt=\"25 Things Disney Dreamlight Valley Update\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\">Image: Nintendo Life<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Right now, the animal companions in the game are generic animals (squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, etc.) with different colouring, and all they do is follow you around. Wouldn&#8217;t it be great to have more Disney-specific animals in the game, which actually helped you in some way? They could even pick up stuff on the ground for all we care. It&#8217;s not gendered \u2014 anyone with any frame can wear a dress \u2014 but for those who want more masculine clothing options and a decidedly <em>less<\/em> sparkly house, there&#8217;s not much choice.<\/p>\n<p>Guys like Disney too, you know! When it&#8217;s night time, many of the characters are asleep, making it hard to complete quests, <em>and<\/em> it&#8217;s harder to see things. We don&#8217;t want the basic boring doors in our houses! They don&#8217;t match the decor!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">More music<\/h2>\n<aside class=\"object object-youtube\">\n<figure class=\"youtube\" data-videoid=\"HKBHzlZTEiU\">[embedded content]<figcaption class=\"youtube-sub\">Subscribe to <a class=\"external\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/subscription_center?add_user=nintendolife\">Nintendo Life<\/a> on <span class=\"g-ytsubscribe\" data-channel=\"nintendolife\" data-layout=\"default\" data-count=\"default\"><a class=\"external\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/nintendolife\">YouTube<\/a><\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>If we have to hear the M-I-C, K-E-Y theme one more time, we&#8217;re going to pull our hair out. And why does every song in the game sound like the lullaby version? Give us something punchy, and give us more variety, and maybe we won&#8217;t go mad before the next update comes out.<\/p>\n<p>After all, there&#8217;s a fantastic variety of bops in the Disney library. We&#8217;re pretty sure that this is just a temporary level cap, but we reached these caps a long time ago, and we&#8217;re ready to make more progress!<\/p>\n<p>Plus, a lot of the rewards for things in the game \u2014 the restaurant, the quests, gift-giving \u2014 are tied to friendship and XP, which is a waste of time when there&#8217;s a level cap.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Better paths<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"picture embed img-900x\"><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"25 Things Disney Dreamlight Valley Update\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/50a57f0a6a017\/25-things-disney-dreamlight-valley-update.large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciIHZpZXdCb3g9IjAgMCA5MDAgNDk5Ij48L3N2Zz4=\" width=\"900\" height=\"499\" data-original=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/50a57f0a6a017\/25-things-disney-dreamlight-valley-update.900x.jpg\" alt=\"25 Things Disney Dreamlight Valley Update\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\">Image: Nintendo Life<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The way the pathing system works right now is a bit of a nightmare. Admittedly, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was just as time consuming and limited, and we let ACNH get away with it, didn&#8217;t we? But Dreamlight Valley&#8217;s paths are all so straight and boring!<\/p>\n<p>Give us a little variety, let us make curved paths, and give us the ability to line the paths with something more attractive than those tiny rocks. It&#8217;s the furniture from the start of the game \u2014 the broken windows, the shabby curtains, and the spiderweb-covered lights. If we were going for a haunted house vibe, that would be fine, but for those of us who aren&#8217;t, it would be nice to get them out of our inventories once and for all.<\/p>\n<p>Let us sell the old stuff to Scrooge, or let us take it apart for materials \u2014 either would be great!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"list-item\">\n<h2 class=\"heading\">Better storage<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"picture embed img-900x\"><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"25 Things Disney Dreamlight Valley Update\" href=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/ae3be732ff5ba\/25-things-disney-dreamlight-valley-update.large.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciIHZpZXdCb3g9IjAgMCA5MDAgNDk2Ij48L3N2Zz4=\" width=\"900\" height=\"496\" data-original=\"https:\/\/images.nintendolife.com\/ae3be732ff5ba\/25-things-disney-dreamlight-valley-update.900x.jpg\" alt=\"25 Things Disney Dreamlight Valley Update\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\">Image: Nintendo Life<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The storage chests in the game are TOO DANG SMALL. Everyone who&#8217;s played Dreamlight Valley for more than a few hours has realised that the only solution right now is to have a dedicated storage room, full of chests, which is an organisational nightmare!<\/p>\n<p>If we had to suggest a few changes that would vastly improve the storage system, it would be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Give us the ability to sort by colour\/type\/name<\/li>\n<li>Let us use fridges, dressers, and cupboards to store items<\/li>\n<li>Make the chests in different colours<\/li>\n<li>Let us stack meals<\/li>\n<li>Raise the stack cap from 50 to 99<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><em>Keep going to page two for even more potential new features&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The game, which is still in early access, has a long way to go before it can be a full release, with all the content required to make it feel busy and lively, plus the promised free-to-play mechanics (whether you want them or not).
