Alright, you know the drill. The Pok\u00e9mon Center Japan<\/a> has just announced a new life-size Pok\u00e9mon plush, and this one’s really<\/em> cute. Everyone get in line, and start emptying out your pockets.<\/p>\n

The newest addition to the giganto-plush line is Altaria, the Gen 3 fluff-bird that is literally described as being surrounded by “cotton-like clouds” and having “soft wings”. There could not be a more perfect candidate for a big, huggable boi.<\/p>\n

How big are we talking? 6.5kg of fluff, and dimensions of 96 x 131 x 90cm. He big. Unfortunately, he is not actually<\/em> made of cotton like his description says \u2014 he’s made of polyester and polyurethane foam balls. For delivery, however, he’ll be squished down to a vacuum-packed parcel of just 85 x 75 x 67cm. Surely the sight of him emerging from a vacuum-pack bag is worth the admission price alone?<\/p>\n

Like most of the mega-plushes before it, Altaria is currently only available for pre-order on the Pok\u00e9mon Center Japan, where the fluffy lad costs 55,000 yen (around $380 \/ \u00a3340), and will be made to order and shipped out in May 2023. These plushes tend to come to the West a couple of months after the Japanese release, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed that this very good use of our hard-earned money will be made available to us soon.<\/p>\n
