These affiliate partnerships do not influence our editorial content. <\/em> <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Apple has removed Russia&#8217;s largest social network app, VKontakte, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/inside\/app-store\" title=\"App Store\" data-kpt=\"1\">App Store<\/a> \u2014 as well as a host of other apps by the developer.\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>VKontakte, a popular Russian social network app with millions of downloads, disappeared from the App Store. As of now, the reason for the removal has not been disclosed.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>VK, the company behind the app, posted <a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/press\/app-store\">a statement<\/a> on Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/9\/27\/23375831\/vk-russia-apple-app-store-removed-social-media\">spotted by<\/a> <em>The Verge<\/em>. It notified users that several of their apps had been removed from the App Store. This includes apps Mail.ru, VK Music, and Youla classified.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>The statement informs users that if an app is already installed on a compatible device, it will continue to work. However, users may experience issues with notifications or payments. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p>They also have informed users that they can continue to use VKontakte from mobile browsers and the desktop application. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-sm-12\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/appleinsider.com\/articles\/22\/03\/01\/apple-temporarily-halts-all-online-sales-in-russia\">In March,<\/a> Apple stopped all online sales in Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
