But, on the plus side, it&#8217;s also making us feel nostalgic. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/gamecube\/star_fox_adventures\">Star Fox Adventures<\/a> is the latest GameCube game to hit the big two-zero today, 23rd September, in North America. And Star Fox&#8217;s character designer Takaya Imamura is celebrating with some brand new art.<\/p>\n<p>The Nintendo legend \u2014 who retired from the company last year \u2014 shared some new art of Krystal, one of Star Fox Adventures&#8217; new characters who would go on to join Fox McCloud and the team in later space-faring journeys.<\/p>\n<p>We would&#8217;ve loved to have seen Krystal get her own game, but alas. We haven&#8217;t seen a new Star Fox game since (technically) 2016&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/wiiu\/star_fox_zero\">Star Fox Zero<\/a>, though for all intents and purposes, Starlink: Battle for Atlas in 2018 <em>was really<\/em> a Star Fox game, wasn&#8217;t it? Here&#8217;s Imamura&#8217;s rather wonderful art from his Twitter:<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"ja\" dir=\"ltr\">\u4eba\u751f\u306f\u30a2\u30c9\u30d9\u30f3\u30c1\u30e3\u30fc\u3002 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zQ1JQuoUN6\">pic.twitter.com\/zQ1JQuoUN6<\/a><\/span>\u2014 \u4eca\u6751\u5b5d\u77e2 \/ Takaya Imamura (@ima_1966) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ima_1966\/status\/1572964568103809024?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 22, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Imamura joined Nintendo in 1989 as a graphic designer and is responsible for creating many of the bosses in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/snes\/legend_of_zelda_a_link_to_the_past\">The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past<\/a>, acting as Art Director on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/n64\/legend_of_zelda_majoras_mask\">Majora&#8217;s Mask<\/a> (we can blame him for the Moon and Tingle, then) and working on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/snes\/f-zero\">F-Zero<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/snes\/star_fox\">Star Fox<\/a> on the SNES. Imamura eventually became producer and supervisor for both of these Nintendo.<\/p>\n<p>Since leaving Nintendo, Imamura has expressed pride in the Star Fox series, saying that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/n64\/star_fox_64\">Star Fox 64<\/a> was &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2021\/04\/takaya_imamura_describes_star_fox_64_as_the_game_of_my_life\">the game of my life<\/a>&#8220;, as well as hoping that Nintendo would bring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/04\/star-fox-character-designer-wants-nintendo-to-port-the-wii-u-entry-to-switch\">Zero to Switch<\/a>.
