After last week’s Nintendo Direct extravaganza<\/a>, this week has seemed a little more relaxed by comparison. As we have prepared ourselves for the weekend’s coming Splatfest<\/a> (go Team Fun!) we have taken our time recuperating from what is already shaping up to be an amazing slate of upcoming games.<\/em><\/p>\n

In the Direct’s aftermath, we have broken down everything that we know<\/a> about Pikmin 4<\/a> (mostly because we can’t stop thinking about Miyamoto’s shirt) and also chewed over Square Enix’s frankly unbelievable release schedule<\/a>.
<\/em><\/p>\n

We also found time to review<\/a> the brand new title Shovel Knight Dig<\/a>, had a lot of fun<\/a> with Easy Come Easy Golf<\/a>, and finally got our hands<\/a> on shmup classic Radiant Silvergun<\/a> \u2014 let’s just hope it hangs about in all eShops<\/a> this time.

Now, we are ready for a weekend of gaming (Splatfest and otherwise) and some of our fantastic writers have shared their plans down below. So this weekend, I\u2019ll still be plugging away at Bayonetta 2<\/a>. I started it on Hard difficulty, so it\u2019s taking me a bit longer than I\u2019d perhaps like, but the heightened intensity makes for a far more enjoyable experience, in my opinion! Anyway, it\u2019s certainly succeeded in making me more excited for Bayonetta 3<\/a>, despite my niggling concerns for the new sequel.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, I\u2019m still working my way through Death Stranding<\/a>; I\u2019m reeeeeally taking my time with it. I\u2019ve just got past that big slippery BT and met Higgs for the first time, so I\u2019m not far yet by any means. I\u2019ve also decided to start Assassin\u2019s Creed Odyssey<\/a> because apparently one giant open world just wasn\u2019t enough for me. When will I learn…?<\/p>\n
