It&#8217;s resulted in some rough-looking ports such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/ark_survival_evolved\">ARK: Survival Evolved<\/a> as well as &#8220;impossible ports&#8221; including games like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/witcher_3_wild_hunt_-_complete_edition\">The Witcher 3<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/doom_eternal\">Doom Eternal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With all the rumours about the Switch getting a successor sooner or later, Digital Foundry has decided to investigate the games on Nintendo&#8217;s current generation hardware with some of the lowest resolutions and see if a follow-up to its latest system could possibly improve the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Setting some guidelines, it investigated games based on &#8220;how low, the lowest typical resolution is in portable mode&#8221; and limited the list to native Switch software that renders full 3D graphics. Apart from games like Witcher and DOOM, some other titles mentioned include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/mortal_kombat_11\">Mortal Kombat 11<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/crash_team_racing_nitro-fueled\">Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re nearing the end of the Nintendo Switch&#8217;s lifecycle and a successor is hotly anticipated to arrive in 2023 &#8211; but the catalogue of games on the existing system is impressive. However, getting top-tier games to work on an older mobile chipset is challenging &#8211; and resolution is often the biggest cut. So what are the lowest resolution Switch games?
