This means Embracer now officially owns Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montr\u00e9al, and Square Enix Montr\u00e9al, and holds the rights to franchises such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps3\/tomb_raider\" class=\"external\">Tomb Raider<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps4\/thief\" class=\"external\">Thief<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/games\/ps1\/legacy_of_kain_soul_reaver\" class=\"external\">Legacy of Kain<\/a>, and a ton more.<\/p>\n<p>Embracer shared an official statement on <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/embracer.com\/release\/embracer-group-completes-acquisition-of-crystal-dynamics-eidos-montreal-square-enix-montreal-amongst-other-assets\/\">its website,<\/a> saying that &#8220;all conditions for the transaction, including regulatory approvals, have now been fulfilled&#8221;.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are happy to announce the completion of the acquisition of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CrystalDynamics?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CrystalDynamics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EidosMontreal?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@EidosMontreal<\/a>, &amp; soon to be renamed <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SquareEnixMtl?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SquareEnixMtl<\/a>! The companies will form the 12th operative group under the leadership of Phil Rogers. Embracer Group has stated that it will be giving out &#8220;further information&#8230; at a later date&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the only deal Embracer has entered in 2022. Just last week, it also acquired the rights to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/08\/embracer-group-acquires-limited-run-games-lord-of-the-rings-ip-and-more\">Lord of the Rings IP and Limited Run Games<\/a>. Earlier today, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/08\/tinybuild-just-paid-usd3m-to-own-surgeon-simulator-and-i-am-bread\">TinyBuild acquired the rights<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/switch-eshop\/surgeon_simulator_cpr\">Surgeon Simulator<\/a>, <strong>I Am Fish<\/strong>, and <strong>I Am Bread<\/strong>, while a rumour around Amazon buying Electronic Arts also popped up, but this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/08\/rumour-cnbc-sources-say-amazon-is-not-planning-to-buy-ea\">has been subsequently denied<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>How do you feel about the acquisition?
