But don&#8217;t worry, we&#8217;re only delivering good news here; the famous Belgian comic series The Adventures of Tintin, penned by Herg\u00e9, is getting a brand new video game adaptation next year thanks to publisher Microids and developer Pendulo Studios.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/tintin_reporter_-_cigars_of_the_pharaoh\">Tintin Reporter &#8211; Cigars of the Pharaoh<\/a>, based on the fourth Tintin comic <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/tintin.fandom.com\/wiki\/Cigars_of_the_Pharaoh\">of the same name<\/a>, will see Tintin and his faithful Wire Fox Terrier Snowy investigate Pharaoh Kih-Oskh\u2019s tomb. The comic is perhaps most famous for introducing regulars The Thompson Twins and naming Tintin&#8217;s arch nemesis, Roberto Rastapopoulos \u2014 heck of a villain name, that.<\/p>\n<p>Along with a few details from the upcoming adventure game and a little teaser trailer above, along with a few screenshots from the game. And Microids promise of &#8220;an art direction faithful to Herg\u00e9\u2019s drawings&#8221; looks to ring true:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>After meeting with professor Sarcophagus while cruising the Mediterranean sea, the famous Belgian reporter goes on a quest to find the tomb of Pharaoh Kih-Oskh.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>What are the dark secrets hidden in the tomb? From Egypt to India, passing through Arabia, Tintin &amp; Snowy will end up investigating a gigantic drug trafficking network throughout the Orient.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Faithfulness to the comics series<\/strong><br \/>Featuring all the facets of the Tintin universe and with a story full of twists making part of Herg\u00e9\u2019s great creative legacy, the game plunges you into the heart of mysterious Egypt and other lands of infinite beauty. \u201cCigars of the Pharaoh\u201d, the 4th album of the series was prepublished in December 1932 in the youth supplement \u201cLe Petit \u2013 Vingti\u00e8me\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>&#8211; A lot of adventures to live<\/strong><br \/>Join Tintin in a series of action-packed puzzles as he tries to solve an international drug trafficking case by exploring the Orient, but also an ancient temple, a desert the depths of a lush jungle and other magnificent but challenging locations.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Many different gameplays to master<\/strong><br \/>A unique and innovative gameplay combining all the key elements of adventure and investigation video games. A game that puts you in a reporter\u2019s shoes, searching for clues, infiltrating hostile places and solving puzzles with the help of investigative dialogues sumptuously enriched with breathtaking video sequences.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><\/blockquote>\n<aside class=\"gallery\"><figcaption class=\"caption\"><em class=\"credit\">Images: Microids<\/em><\/figcaption><\/aside>\n<p>We&#8217;ll likely hear more details of this new Tintin game in the coming months, but for now, all we know is that we&#8217;ll be delving into the tombs of the Pharaohs with Tintin sometimes next year.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t Tintin&#8217;s first foray into video games \u2014 the adventurer has seen a number of Nintendo outings, including on the SNES, Game Boy, and even the Wii and 3DS (with the latter two based on Steven Spielberg&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/wii\/adventures_of_tintin_the_secret_of_the_unicorn\">The Adventures of Tintin<\/a> movie).<\/p>\n<p><em>Are you excited for a new Tintin game?
