We&#8217;re trying to bowl the ball and get a strike, not have the ball stuck to us!<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/nintendo_switch_sports\">Nintendo Switch Sports<\/a> players have been reporting that exact issue. One such player, <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MCwreckshin\">@MCwreckshin<\/a>, has tweeted at Nintendo directly about the issues. Apparently, this has only been happening since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2022\/07\/nintendo-switch-sports-version-1-2-0-is-now-live-here-are-the-full-patch-notes\">the recent summer update<\/a>, and MCwreckshin has compiled footage of all of the times it&#8217;s happened to them.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I\u2019ve really been enjoying bowling on Nintendo Switch Sports but ever since the summer update came out there has been a \u201csticky ball\u201d glitch. I hope Nintendo fixes this soon, I just want to be able to release my balls. \ud83c\udfb3 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FreeTheBalls?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FreeTheBalls<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Vwm8CJ74Ga\">https:\/\/t.co\/Vwm8CJ74Ga<\/a><\/span>\u2014 Sweeney Toad (@MCwreckshin) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MCwreckshin\/status\/1555554318102810626?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 5, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>As you can see from the video, nearly every time the player goes to bowl the ball, it remains stubbornly stuck to the avatar&#8217;s hand. Sometimes, after a few times, they manage to bowl it. Other times, it falls straight to the floor \u2014 missing their toes, thankfully!<\/p>\n<p>MCwreckshin isn&#8217;t the only player to report this, either. Over on Reddit, the same person \u2014 under the username <a data-testid=\"comment_author_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/user\/sweeneytoadmusic\/\">sweeneytoadmusic<\/a> \u2014 has created a thread in the Nintendo Switch Sports <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/NintendoSwitchSports\/\">subreddit<\/a>, and others are reporting similar issues.<\/p>\n<p>One user, <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/user\/scowley75\/\">scowley75<\/a>, says that the bowling ball seems to stick &#8220;when trying to throw anything with a curve&#8221;, while another \u2014 <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/user\/BoomerTheStar47_2\/\">BoomerTheStar47_2<\/a> \u2014 seems to have discovered that this glitch only happens when playing bowling online.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-oembed\"><!-- cache: oembed\/https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/NintendoSwitchSports\/comments\/wdop59\/comment\/iik3syu\/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web2x&amp;context=3 @ 2022-08-05T16:07:17+01:00 --><\/aside>\n<p>sweeneytoadmusic has since tested this offline, and while they encountered the issue a lot less, they still came across the same sticky ball problem.<\/p>\n<p>And, in a strange twist, another user is having the complete opposite problem \u2014 the ball <em>doesn&#8217;t<\/em> want to stick, instead leaving the player&#8217;s hand before they get a chance to move.<\/p>\n<p>Nintendo has yet to address the issue, so it&#8217;s one to keep an eye out if you&#8217;re a regular at the bowling alley online.
