Microsoft Forms is excited to introduce a number of new features and improvements to existing features within Teams meeting polls. Here\u2019s a quick summary:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019re replacing the \u201cForms\u201d app within Teams with a new app named \u201cPolls\u201d\u2014making it much easier for people to find and add polls to their chats and meetings. You will be able to see the \u201cPolls\u201d app when searching in the Teams app store (via the side bar or top nav bar in the meeting) or from the message extension flyout menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"lia-indent-padding-left-60px\"><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july.png\" role=\"button\" title=\"Forms Polls.png\" alt=\"Forms Polls.png\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve made UI improvements to the poll suggestions pane, including the ability to:<br \/>o Re-position the list of suggested polls from the bottom to the side pane<br \/>o Provide an entry point in the polls portal page, where users can show\/hide the side pane as needed<br \/>o Provide the poll results view (previously, it only showed the voting view), which allows the poll creator to see how the poll will look to the meeting audience after it\u2019s launched<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july.jpg\" role=\"button\" title=\"Poll Suggestions.jpg\" alt=\"Poll Suggestions.jpg\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can now see a list of your recently created polls so that you can re-use your past polls created in new meetings and save time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july-1.jpg\" role=\"button\" title=\"Recently Created Polls.jpg\" alt=\"Recently Created Polls.jpg\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new poll animation appears after people have entered a response, providing a dynamic confirmation that their votes have been successfully submitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july.gif\" role=\"button\" title=\"voting animation.gif\" alt=\"voting animation.gif\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019re adding a new poll question type, <strong>Rating<\/strong>, which allows you to provide feedback by rating on the scaled symbols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july-1.gif\" role=\"button\" title=\"rating question resutls.gif\" alt=\"rating question resutls.gif\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ve improved the poll result view to be a more intuitive and easy-to-read experience, with enrichments such as color indication and dynamic results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july-2.jpg\" role=\"button\" title=\"Poll Result.jpg\" alt=\"Poll Result.jpg\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toc-hId--1326910563\"><strong>Phone and Calling<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Remove a call from your history<\/strong><br \/>Streamline your view with the ability to hide calls from your call history list on Teams for desktop and mobile.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call recording announcement played in your default language<\/strong><br \/>Call recording announcements will now be played in your default language for Teams calls to or from a phone number. Both parties will hear the announcement in the same language, at the same time, for both standard and compliance recording scenarios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Common Area Phone license enhancements<\/strong> <br \/>The Common Area Phone offering has been enhanced to serve a wider variety of scenarios for customers without increasing the price. Learn more about how to <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoftteams\/set-up-common-area-phones\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">set up Common Area Phones<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Security, endpoint management, and cloud-based voicemail features are available through the following service plans added to the Common Area Phone license:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Azure Active Directory Premium Plan 1<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Intune<\/li>\n<li>Exchange Online Plan 2 (cloud-based voicemail only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can verify within the admin center that a Common Area Phone license is activated for Azure Active Directory Premium Plan 1, Microsoft Intune, and Exchange Online Plan 2.<\/p>\n<p>To enroll devices into Intune service, check the requirements at <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoftteams\/devices\/phones-displays-deploy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Configure Intune to enroll Teams Android-based devices<\/a>. If you have auto-enrollment set up in the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center, and you do not want to auto-enroll your Teams device, you need to unassign the Intune license or set up a grouping structure that omits these devices from auto-enrollment.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the following calling features are available for supported Teams phone device models enabled with a Common Area Phone license and the latest Teams app update (minimum version &#8211; 1449\/1.0.94.2022061702):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Call park and retrieve<\/li>\n<li>Cloud-based voicemail through Exchange Online Plan 2<\/li>\n<li>Call queues<\/li>\n<li>Auto attendants<\/li>\n<li>Group call pickup<\/li>\n<li>Forwarding rules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To use the calling features on supported Teams phone device models, you need to enable the \u201cAdvanced Calling\u201d setting in the Teams admin center or on your Teams phone device and sign in through your Common Area Phone account. To access advanced capabilities, ensure that you purchase the right hardware models.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july-1.png\" role=\"button\" title=\"Advanced Calling.png\" alt=\"Advanced Calling.png\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Spectralink Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) device integration with SIP Gateway<\/strong><br \/>DECT devices from Spectralink have been integrated with SIP Gateway, allowing frontline workers to use Teams calling functionality on DECT devices to communicate with colleagues on the go. This functionality will end the room reservation and returns the room to the room inventory.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july-2.png\" role=\"button\" title=\"Check Out.png\" alt=\"Check Out.png\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Extend room reservations for Microsoft Teams panels<\/strong><br \/>Also through the new \u201cManage\u201d button, a Teams Rooms reservation can be extended directly from the panel. Teams Export API also will now support Teams reactions (heart, thumbs up, laugh, surprised, angry, sad) on a message using the Export API. This is in addition to Teams Messages (1:1 and group chat), attachments (file links and sticker), emojis, GIFs, and user @Mentions.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toc-hId-713264547\"><strong>Teams for Education<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Moodle Learning Management System integration<\/strong><br \/>In addition to integration with Canvas and Blackboard, Microsoft has now partnered with Moodle Learning Management System to deliver seamless integrated learning experiences. This enables your organization to roll out teams at scale within a day so your frontline workforce can collaborate and be productive across different stores, locations, and roles. You can use custom templates to set up teams that best fit your organization&#8217;s needs or leverage one of our default templates. Admins also can remove members from teams at scale from existing teams. Users will be able to validate camera, microphone, and browser compatibility, as well as the internet connection at any moment before the scheduled appointment start time. Learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/send-text-message-notifications-f4e6aa74-2ee9-4b12-9105-0e9271d4b244\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SMS notifications<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"toc-hId-1393322917\"><strong>Government<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>These features currently available to Microsoft commercial customers in multi-tenant cloud environments are now rolling out to customers in the US Government Community Cloud (GCC), US Government Community Cloud High (GCC-High), and\/or United States Department of Defense (DoD).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manage Meetings options for DoD<\/strong>&nbsp;<br \/>Organizers are now able to modify the user experience or customize the safety and security settings for their Teams Meetings using the new \u201cMeetings options\u201d feature.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sickgaming.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/whats-new-in-microsoft-teams-for-july-9.png\" role=\"button\" title=\"Manage Meetings options for DoD.png\" alt=\"Manage Meetings options for DoD.png\" class=\"lia-media-image\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Large Gallery for Teams on VDI in government clouds<\/strong><br \/>By default, Teams Meetings supports up to nine videos in Gallery.
